93 CH613 Dump

Recommended Posts

I am looking at a 93 CH613, E7 400hp, 18 speed, walking beam suspension, 500,000 miles

This truck is in very good condition (1 owner), but I am not up to par on Mack trucks (Pete owner for 15yrs)

I have looked over the truck pretty good and all but a couple things stood out

1. clutch needs ajusting (pedal is almost all the way out before it engages

2. There is a coolant leak behind fuel pump at block where a hose from air compressor attaches to block

it is going to be a pita to get to. when coolant gets to low, shut down light on instrument panel comes on

There are no oil leaks, all guages work, rebuilt transmission, new tires all the way around plus 2 more full sets go with it,

new brake pads plus 2 more sets of new pads, new paint.

Are there any problems known to these trucks. Is there something I should be looking for engine wise?

Thanks, Scott

93 E7 400 would be a vmac controlled engine, the wiring harness to the pump has some issues and there's a firewall connector that does too. Other than that the 93 CH trucks are pretty bulletproof, if its a Mack trans make sure you pre select any air shift before you move the shifter and don't force it.
