woodrome Posted November 12, 2011 Share Posted November 12, 2011 I have a 2004 CH with a 460. Oil leak on right side of motor, looks like it is coming from around the injectors. Is it possible for oil to leak from there and what is involved in repairing this. If it is not coming from the injector, then where could it be coming from? Any help would be greatly appreciative. rhasler Posted November 13, 2011 Share Posted November 13, 2011 It's probably leaking at one of the lower exhaust manifold studs. The threaded hole in the cylinder head intersects the pushrod bores. Recently replaced exhaust manifold studs and sealed them up good but still have a leak on #6. I'm wondering if the plug under the valve cover where you pull the injector is letting a little oil by? Just haven't checked it out yet. TreyIf it's fuel that's leaking you need a new fuel line. If it's oil and it's coming out from around the injector line it's probably a hard, dried out or cut o-ring on the top end of the injector. Quote "Mebbe I'm too ugly and stupid to give up!"
