Mack MP10 Released in Australia

Recommended Posts

Mack Trucks Australia has launched the MP10 engine into the Australian market as an option on SuperLiner and Titan models - see below. Where America gets a 605hp rating, Australia receives 685hp. The last all-Mack engine was in the Titan and was the EA9-610 16 litre V8 rated at 610hp.

Following intense customer demand and anticipation, Mack Trucks will introduce its new Mack MP10 Eu5 SCR 16 litre engine range in the popular Super-Liner and Titan models, for order from 12 September 2011. The Mack MP10 is the most powerful engine ever released by Mack Trucks and with up to 685hp, it will be the most powerful engine under the bonnet of a conventional on-road truck in Australia. Coinciding with the MP10 release, a higher capacity Mack mDRIVE 12 speed automated manual transmission will be offered. This impressive addition is standard with the 685hp rating – being the only transmission strong enough to handle the MP10’s prodigious 2,300 lb-ft torque output. The first customer vehicles will be delivered mid-2012.
