My RD runs around 190 all day on flat land & when I'm pulling up some hills she shoots up to 230. rhasler Posted August 8, 2011 Share Posted August 8, 2011 If your coolant temperature is getting that high you need to get the cooling system flushed out ASAP. The VMAC system should shut down the engine at 227 degrees (assuming you have a VMAC engine), if it isn't shutting down you're running the risk of major engine damage. MCHAM Posted August 8, 2011 Author Share Posted August 8, 2011 I have a EM7 300 in my 1992 RD690S. I had the coolant system flushed when I got the truck.
