It had a 400 E9, 12 speed, small hiab crane and a 24' steel deck. The turing radius was terrible, almost dagerous. I'd have to do a 3 point turn in many many intersections even if I swung wide. The steering box was mounted on the outside of the drivers frame rail, really low, it completely blocked the path of the tire. It wasn't a defect but was a definate design flaw. The steering was just as bad in either direction.Does anyone know what that axle/steering set up was (axle weight rating)? Lmackattack Posted January 7, 2007 Share Posted January 7, 2007 Ditto....my RS had bad turning also. When i installed the powere steering box I cranked the stops back and it turns like a dream.
