Ossablt Posted January 23, 2011 Share Posted January 23, 2011 Is it possible to use lever style dash valves instead of the push/pull style for parking and trailer supply? I am converting a B model to brake cans with park brakes and would like to have dash valves that look like the ones used on B models. Lmackattack Posted January 23, 2011 Share Posted January 23, 2011 Yes you can but I think the problem will be if you louse the trailer or a air line the flip style valve will not "pop out" to contain service air in the tractor?. IF you can live with that then all you should need is valves that will exhaust when you set the spring brakes. the other issue is it may not be DOT approved if you need an inspection? I see in pics that it looks like some trucks had 1,2, or 3 flippers also saw a pic of one mounted under the dash, was this factory? The pics are not close enough to read the dial.
