b61mack Posted July 15, 2010 Share Posted July 15, 2010 I pulled a transmission this week and the guy i got it from used to run the truck said it was a 10 speed acording to the numbers it is a 7 speed (TRDLG1070) i have a 1979 manual that covers 7-10 speeds. i was wandering if the TRDL1070 and the TRDLG1070 is the same tranmission, the 7 speed has a lockout(it has been disconnected) so you cant split the first 3 gears only 4th & 5th. can you have a 10 speed if you get rid of the lockout.
