  1. From the album: R Model Mack

Getting the truck into the final coat of primer is always a good place to be, the truck has been a bigger project than I first anticipated as working on ladders and hanging on with one hand in the driveway of our house while sanding hasn't helped any. I have painted and restored some real dogs over the years cars, bikes, trucks, caravans, etc but being able to have your feet on the ground while doing it makes it a whole lot easier IMO,

Not that rust was an issue with the truck but any rust that was found I welded in patches and repaired as best I could being a back yard hobby addict auto repairer spray painter, mechanic type steering wheel attendant person.

I had a few weeks off when I sold my Volvo truck so I decided to throw a coat of paint on the truck to freshen it up, I also replaced the mirrors, rooftop lights with leds, De-badged most of it, replaced all the door rubbers and window felts etc, sound deadened the cab and just generally repaired what i could while I could, the truck is the same colour as my 1969 Pontiac firebird, windward blue, painted in 2k

A couple of photos of when I first bought the 1985 R Model truck, it was a sound but well used truck, I was never a fan of mack trucks until I started driving them this truck was bought as a second truck until I repaired my volvo N10, volvo is long gone and the old mack is here to stay.
