On the ENDT673 I have HP ratings of 205 560 lbs.of torque and 211HP and 605 lbs. of torque. No sure of the ENDT673C but I think that was 250 HP. Neither of those engines were factory in a B62 it was equipped with a EN464 gas with 170 HP and 370 lbs. of torque. Maybe someone else will have more accurate #'S for the ENDT673C Joe D.

If you want the unladen weight of that truck I would estimate 14,000 to 15,000 pounds.GVW is weight allowed to be carried on truck. It is determined by manufacturer by combining weight ratings of axles on truck. If you want the empty weight of truck it is called unladen weight. GCW is total combined weight of truck and trailer plus load. These weights are set by manufacturer but states vary with their own weight laws.Joe D.

I thought I was dreaming when I read this post. But even in my wildest dream I would not think that an some Macks and Brockway were avaible in that condition and mileage.I could not imagine the dollar figure they are worth. I had the Reyco 4 spring on road tractorsin the 70'S and 80'S. It was OK for over the road use I would not recommend it for vocational work. It does not articulate as a walking beam or camelback does.It also does not evenly spread weight on tandems as well. It is relatively less expensive to fix if need be. I would buy truck with proper suspension for job. Joe D.

Barry. I run 315-80R22.5 on front and steerable lift axle in Penna. They are rated at 9000 lbs. apiece. I ran in the past 425'S and never had a kingpin problem. That is my experience anyway.If you do not run proper size tire and get axle weighed you will have a problem.LOL. Joe D.

Barry I live in Pennsylvania. In order to get legal weight on front axle of my tri-axle dump I run 315-80R22.5 on the front and lift axle not exactly super singles.They are rated for 9,000 lbs. apiece. I ran 425's in the past and never had a kingpin problem. I never heard of anyone having kingpin problems with the wide base tires and rims. That is not to say it is not possible. I do know if you do not run them and get axle weighed you will have a problem.LOL. Joe D.

I bought some A Model Mack parts from him he might have some of what you need as the E model and A model were very similar cabs. I live about one mile from the Mack Brothers Homestead. It is now a new housinf development called Mack estates.Ilived in this area most of my life 58 years old I prefer the old Mount Cobb. Joe D.

As Doug said it has the look of an orville sleeper the side window looks like their trademark. I worked out of Dundalk Marine Terminal (Baltimore, Maryland) with a Sonny Womack had similar factory looking integral sleeper on a R-600 Mack 673 with a Duplex. Joe D.

There are about 3 Brockways on Ebay now but prices are about $5,000.00 or better.On the Brockway site there were some Brocks for sale under $2,000.00 I do notknow if still avaible. The price of scrap in the last year got rid of a lot of old iron. Joe D.

macktruckfan. if you go to the for salesection on this board there is a 1980 Mack R688ST withthe 5x4 trans setup you asked about. It has the TRL1078 main trans and Spicer1241C auxiliary. If you scroll down in the comments someone posted a link to complete specs. of this truck.It only has 68,000 original miles on truck from new. It was bought new for the U.S. Fish and game commission.Joe D.

I trying to find the vehicle identification number for a 1950 Mack A-50.

I have been told that I could find it stamped on the frame but I have been all over this thing

and cannot find it. Can anyone help me out.

I looked in a copy of an A- Model owners manual. The only places it shows for serial # is as was stated before right rear side of frame and passenger seat base. The one on rear of frame does not seem to be the best place to put it with stretching and cutting of frames. Joe D.

Bullheaded I have no problems with the build quality of my Brandon Model FHA. I had a Bibeau and a Brandon before.The way it was explained to me is that Beau Roc and Brandon were started by family members of Bibeau. I have a friend that has a Beau Roc Diamond on his KW and he never said about any problems with it. When I ordered my body from Brandon I put the heavier gate on it, that was a mistake for weight purposes as I mostly haul asphalt,coal,salt, and crushed stone.We haul rip rap and shot rock but I try to stay away from it. I do not think it is worth the extra money to haul it. The company I work for has a $2.00 a ton premiun for anything larger than # 5 rip rap but I will let the others make the big bucks LOL. Joe D.

If the truck has the original passenger seat base there should be an identification plate mounted to it with 4 screws. That is the way it is on my 1950 A-51T if someone did not remove base or plate. I will look at my A Model to see if I can find it anywhere else. Joe D.

I run 315 80 R22.5 on the steerable lift axle they are rated for 9,000 lbs. apiece legal in Penna. and New Jersey for 18,000 lbs. Some states are making steerable lift axles mandatory on new trucks. New York State is one. A friend of mine wanted to get R Permit for New York State and they would not let him as his truck is 2007 and has fixed lift axle on it. Joe D.

Grant If you are looking to put a 18 speed Quadbox behinh the 375 HP V8 I do not think it will take the torque. If it was a new range style 18 speed Mack trans or Fuller 18 speed there would be no problems.The 1200 or 1400 series 13 speed would work good also. Joe D.

Andy Did you ever consider adding the A Model Macks and make it the E and A Model Registry? The A Model seems like just an updated E model. It seems as there are not a lot of E and A Model owners out there and it might get more to join the registry. I have a 1950 A-51T with the 510 Mack Diesel it is kind of odd with that engine and engine parts are hard to find. Thanks Joe D.

Nice ride Bullheaded. I run a tri-axle dump in Northeast,Penna. I have a 2005 western Star 515 Detroit, 16908LL, 46,000 lbs. Rockwell 4.56 ratio,steerable lift axle, 18 FT. Brandon Heated Hi Tensile steel box.Why is the lift axle so far forward on Canadian trucks?Weight I imagine. I used to work out of town most of the time now i work for Pennsy Supply and keep me busy about 9 months of year. I haul road salt or coal for winter months if not that I go to Florida for winter with truck to work. This last winter work got slow in Florida so I stayed up here.What is empty weight of your IH? My Star is 27,300 a bit heavy could lighten up if i took oak sideboards off for pine. Joe D.
