  1. Mack is definitely the truck of choice on every Carribean Island I have been to. IH and Ford (Sterling) are distant 2nd and 3rd. Surprising not many Autocars. St. Maarten is about our favorite Island. Joe D.

  2. Olivetroad item#330694474384 Lepilgrim1 was sellers name sold for$1742.00 I looked up selling price. Seller said surface rust only and turns over. Pretty interesting old Heavy Chevy with straight air brakes. Good Luck. Joe D.

  3. other dog Just about 2 weeks ago there was a 1960 Chevy 100 long wb. tandem 348 5X3 trans with separate driveshafts to each rear that sold on Ebay for approximately $1650.00 cab was decent it was in Georgia. Joe D.

  4. My first car was a 1958 Chevy Delray that my Uncle and i put a 348 with 3 deuces in it and it had a 3 speed with Hurst conversion this was in 1966.Progressive linkage on carbs sounded great when kicking in one at a time but could not pull the hat off your head compared to 327'S. Now its hard and expensive to find any double hump 348 or 409'S.Joe D.

  5. Gregg hauling cars like hauling livestock is all together different than driving a van or flatbed. Loading and unloading tieing down and delivering without damage. At different times my Family had 5 trucks hauling cars with Automobile Transport,Arco Auto Carriers,Kenosha Auto Carriers. Trailers or Stinger units today are much better than when we did it less ramp angles wider inside trailer.Wider trailers help believe me I cleaned a few sides when loading big cars in the 1970'S.I do not know how pay is today but back then it was set up on a one way haul and if you got backhaul it was the Bonanza. Good Luck.Joe D.

  6. The picture of him eating pancake was taken at Glider Diner Scranton,Penna. when he was campaigning (lieing) for President. Someone had the half eaten waffle on Ebay I do not remember the results. Lets hope he gets his wish for hope and change this time around. He is out of here. Joe D.

  7. Thru the years my Brothers and I ran a lot of different makes of cabovers and conventials. We only had one F-Model a 1977 300 5speed In my opinion it was a very well laid out interior, everything was convenient for driver. It had the 38,000 lb. Camelback suspension which was not too bad. I still like spring ride over air ride. I guess I do not learn too fast. That F-Model in New Hampshire looks clean and not a rust bucket.Joe D.

  8. 800 RPM is too low to lug down. All the constant torque engines I ever had 1200-1300 was downshift point. When your truck was built with 300 HP and 7 speed it was made to lug down 12-1300 RPM,with engine turned up to 400 Hp power curve could be different and you could possibly need more gears to work engine properly. I am trying to explain this without knowing any other information. Others will explain more thorough;ly. Joe D.

  9. If you do not find shifter you can use a conversion shifter kit that was used to change from column shift to floor mount. Hurst or other make. This topic came up on another site and I suggested the same.someone else did it and worked out. You would have to lengthen rods and it will not be as heavy duty but it will work. I know new ones are avaible from manufacturer but I am not sure of name maybe Spicer or TTT Parts. The name was on ATHS Site but when I sign on there nothing comes up with the recent problems. 10. Al I watched Rob Mariani on I think American Truckers move Evil'S F-Model from Florida to Brad Wike's in North Carolina.Like all reality shows they make it more dramatic than it actually is. I remember reading once that sleeper on Evil's F-Model was shortened. It is smaller than even the short factory one which I think was 24". Joe D.
