  1. I thank everyone for the replies to my question about the first R model 300 maxidynes color scheme. I knew that if I asked here that I would receive a vast knowledge from all the "puppydog" people and I was right. I especially appreciated the picture from the Bulldog Magazine showing all the R's and F's ready to go. I sure wish I had one just to drive around in on Saturday night. There is nothing like a good old Mack. Thanks everyone.
  2. J Hancock, This is a sharp ole' R and I remember this paint scheme especially on DM800's but not the one I'm thinking about. Thanks anyway for your reply.
  3. I am so glad that I found and am browsing this forum. I was born and raided in the Trenton area and grew up always around Macks where my father worked. He drove for H.M.Royal, Inc in Trenton and they are still there today but just do not have trucks anymore. I worked for them in 1970-1972 and drove their A-40, F-600, B-61's and R-600's around the East Coast. I also drove for Herms Trucking in Trenton until they went bankrupt and they had a full fleet of Macks. My last Mack job was with L.J.Kennedy out of their Florence, NJ terminal. I sure wish I had taken some pictures of those Macks but maybe someone out there has some to post. I would really appreciate seeing them again. Thanks everyone.
  4. Does anyone out there know if there are any photos of the first limited edition R686ST that was introduced around 1974 I believe. I remember them as being white with red/blue striping, chrome bumper with gold bulldogs on the bumper bolts and they had the first 300 Maxidyne engines. I believe they were limited edition and the company I was working for back then had placed the order for one from Trenton Mack in Trenton , NJ. I was hoping that my memory is not failing and would love to see a pic of one again. It was very unique looking. Thanks drivers
