morning ..Ive been trying to figure out what cable end I need for my speedometer...I have a trt720 trans.There was a square stub 3/4 inch long from tip to shoulder(looks like it twisted off the cable) where it goes into the tranny.Is there an adapter,round with a tang on the side in that hole?The reason I ask is that I took a cable off a duplex and it had a piece that that slipped into the cable end that was round with a tang on the side...all I can do is feel,cant see in the hole? thanks Jim

On the steering wheel I ground out the cracks and used PC-7 two part epoxy,sanded it down,used spray adhesive promoter ,primer then Mack interior green...Its not perfect and not sure how it will hold up but looks way better than before...Jim

yes its a cut off switch and the seat is a Bostrom viking that came new with the truck according to the Mack build sheet..looking back I should have put the switch under the seat but It seemed like a good idea at the time....thanks Jim

You got me I didnt think about that...I have another panel with the Mack speedo and when I get a chance I should switch them out...Thanks Jim

Thanks...Im really happy with the way it turned out...It drives good and I like the tranny a TRT720 with 5.78 gears,Its a cruiser...works out to about 65/66 mph . Still have the 10:00x22s,not in to bad of shape but a bit out of round from sitting so long..Looking for some 11:00x24.5s and a few other things to finish her up.I cant thank you guys enough for all the info on this forum...Jim

My hood latch rubbers are shot and have been looking for something to replace them with...any Ideas or what have you used or tried...Ive checked the napa but couldnt find anything..Im going to R&R mack thursday so maybe they have something...Thanks Jim

Thanks...I cheated and left the aux in direct and shifted the main box...my fun came when I tried to make a left hand turn and had my big foot on the throttle and brake at the same time,,,,whoa baby

I used OMNI MAE light green metalic # 45735 and turned out great and matched my original color. The paint code was posted as what Watts Mack uses...Jim you can look at my post from July 17 and see what it looks like...

I went over to Larrys " freightrain" and we were able to trace those air lines on his B 61....The small air line on the foot valve" upper front" supplies air to the slippery/dry valve on the dash when the brakes are applied...the line coming off the valve goes to the front brake limiting valve on the inside frame rail under the cab...Thanks Larry

On the front of the treadle valve there is a small angled fitting in the upper front del. port....I checked an extra foot valve that came with the truck and it is the same way.I need to know where this 1/4 inch line goes and its function since it only has air when the brakes are applied.The only thing thats not hooked up is the slippery/dry valve on the dash and it has no lines on it.....Does anyone know how the slippery/dry limiter valve on the frame works?Which is the normal braking...with air to the limiter valve or with out air....getting closer...Thanks Jim

thanks Maddog....what we were trying to figure out was where does that 1/4 inch line go to that comes off the top front fitting of the treadle valve{has air only when brakes are applied} were thinking it goes to the slippery/dry dash switch......Jim

Well I got some help today . I talked to Larry "freightrain" and he was good enough to go out and crawl under his truck and run down some air lines for me and set me straight on how to hook them up...Super nice guy and I really appreciate the help...thanks Jim
