Have any of you guys had any experience with Chalmers susp. On a tractor? I know they work pretty good on the dumps and mixers, there are a couple a Petes for sale that were used in the oil fields they are geared for about 70 mph but I will be using them local in an out of NYC an Jersey so speed is no worry, but the suspension I am not to sure about? Any help would be good!

We broke my 10 month old engine in my RS last week. Along with a flat tire and a disintegrated clutch. Long story and two less employees. We are in the process of installing a different motor. Problem is we don't know exactly what the motor we are installing is. It came out of a 89 super liner and runs good with no blowby and has a dynatard. But someone stole the engine tag so I don't know horsepower or other pertinent info. It is a 2 valve with tip turbine. Any ideas how to tell what I have?
One of the best Mack Motors I ever had! it can be boosted up a little but will last a very very long time!! I like the 2 valve motors but they do have weak cam's so if you have an engine brake don't use it if you don't have to !! Good luck!

Here's the deal I run two E7 300 mechanicals in a boat. For my setup they work great. I'm needing a few more horsepower. I don't know too much about motors, but was wondering if I need to buy a set of 350's or 400's. Or could you soup them up? I want to stay mechanical. Mine are 96' motors. Any help would be greatly appreciated
If they are American Bosh pump Ambec they are E/Z to turn up

Another mixer. Then this lowboy pulled up. Took him about 10 minutes to make the corner and back into the spot to unload. Did a very good job for making a turn into a 10ft wide road

I would love to see these new youngbloods wheel around a 15yd A-Car in NYC about 10 ft longer and about 120,000 lb loaded with air steering!!?? Forget about power, it was either a 190 Cummins or a 238 Detroit with about 20 gears!!

I was just thinking ( I know I shouldnt ) can you just imagine going to Mack today and saying I want 11 trucks got to be able to haul off road for carrying over 100 tons each in minus 60 and they need to flex like this and go thru water this deep oh yeah the boys need to be able to heat them up with a blow torch and no computers at all and we need these in 9 weeks or less !!!
I dont want sell Mack of today short and say they wouldnt but what do you all think gone are the days of not making excuses and just getting the job done
They would tell you Mack don't make a truck like that anymore and try a sell you a Volvo outta there construction division! I'll bet a Volvo hasn't made that far into that area yet!

well we know it wasn't Detroit diesel powered cuz the snow was still white and they didn't have a 12th truck packing oil
Maybe so but it wouldn't have taken them 6 hours to preheat them either

Ernie I am working on I-84 Mount Cobb,Penna. I saw one of your Western Stars a few times right before the split with I-380. Job I am on is about one mile from my house. Hard to get better than that after running 48 states. Joe D.
Yah how about it! We have a couple a customers up that way I really like the W-Stars esp. the two gliders with the pre EGR 14liter 575's good fuel eco and first one to the top a the hill! I just bought two Coronadoes and one 4700 Star with the 13 liter 470 hp motors 1650 torque and the pull real well

I had a Superliner with that pump and I think you are havin the same trouble I had! Ok inside the top of the pump where the injector line screws into the pump, well under the nipple that the line screws to there is a washer and if those are not put in right the washer will crack! I dont remember the torque speck but you have to coat that washer with 90 wt gear oil and when you torque it down you have to use one fluid motion to click if you stop for a milla sec that washer will come back to haunt you! Ask your Mack guy about it it is a very touchie pump but when done right it is a far better on then the Ambec BULLHUSK

Hmmm I seem to remember learning that in the mid to the late 1930's the was a bit of noise in Europe about some sought of fruit loop in Europe that had a big opinion of himself and the rest of world sat back and did SFA it took years and millions lives to sought that mess out
Then 1945 I seem to have heard about a US general who was at Berlin and he seemed to think that they should keep on going and sought out communism right then and there the troops were there the equipment was there but he was told no it took 50 years and whole heap more lives to sought that mess out
So me not been a real smart dumb ass skippy the kangaroo Aussie would seem to think that so much of this crap could be sorted out right at the start rather than let it drag on for ever and costing everyone a whole heap of money and lives neither of which grows on trees but what would I know perhaps there is no votes in it for polliticans

Romney told Lord O in one of the Presidential Debates that Russia and Putin were going to be a major problem for Europe and the U.S.A. in the near future. Lord O's response was "that's so 80's". Putin reminded Lord O the he has the most powerful nuclear arsenal in the world and will incererate the U.S.A. if need be in 2012.
Isis. . Lord O thinks Drones, advisers (like in 1958 to 62 in S.E.A.) and "meaning full dialog and the exchange of ideas" will solve every thing.
Patton wanted to reequip and rearm the Wehrmacht and go into Russia in 1945, MacArthur wanted to continue across the Yalu and go to Beijing in 1952. IKE ended both of those ideas.
Thanks to the current Administration, the Navy is not replacing Subs and Carriers, but cutting back on the fleet to 1914 numbers. Scrapping A-10s, F-16's, F-111 and B-52 bombers. "Laying off" personal over the rank of Lieutenant to cut back on "redundant personnel" as per Hagel and the C in C. EPA regulations and Gun Control laws closing suppliers and manufacturers of Armor, Weapons and Munitions. Sikorsky, Pratt and Whitney and Electric Boat in Connecticut are in violation of Connecticut weapons laws by having factories there! We no longer have the ability to arm our military in a major conflict over a month.
We have the 3 stooges in the White House "O", JOE and Kerry and Flower Children, Academicians and Eco-freaks in the rest of the administration.... Paul
