If you Google colonial sand and stone Pierce arrow trucks when the trucks come up hit images and you'll see a picture of a colonial dump truck dumping into a on-site mixer! I tried to get it onto this site but I just don't know how to do it maybe one of you guys can do it and you'll see the Pierce arrow

I have a picture somewhere of one of those that colonial sand and stone had back in the 20s I think it's an Internet picture if you look up colonial sand and stone that shows you a couple of those Pierce arrow trucks unloading bags of cement and sand and stone that they were mixing concrete by hand back in the 20s

i have used the black stuff too, It is very aggressive. It is very cheap down here, It is made out of some stuff that is scraped out of power plant smoke stacks. It can be bought by the truck load.
Fred
I used stuff years back and I think they called it Black Beauty they sold it in bags and loaded bulk as well! It was on Fish House Rd in So Kearny next to the PSE&G coal burning plant. The plant now burns N/G so no more blasting Sand!!

I have been a advocate about Caterpillar and there f**k You attitude towards there customers!, so here it is again (just like the acert motors) don't say I did not say I told you so when Cat came out with these junk trucks and theses half ass engines!! Say what you want about Detroit but when they have trouble?? They run to you to fix it and not run away like Caterpillar does!! But you guys with that yellow Cat blood and big check books!!! Well I'll blink my tail lights when I pass you on the hills with our 575 hp Detroits!!

I was up at the old 309 Mack dealer in Pa last month to get a Glider kit inspection (Pa wants a cert. before a Pa reg. is issued) Well heres one for you guys that I think is a great idea! They take your old Mack (mostly all pre EGR) and rebuild the truck right down to re-railing the frame! I saw some of the resto work and I would put it right up there with some of top Mack builders I've seen and not for crazy money! I told them about my RL700L with the V-12 and the guys eyes almost fell outta his head! I have finished all of the motor and drivetrain work but I think I might just get a price from them to do the cab (in & out elect. and so on) and have finish the truck! I'll keep you posted. I think it's called Trans Edge Volvo Mack, but we all still know it as Rt 309 or Alllentown Mack

PS They told me that this was there answer to a Mack Glider

I was at a tire place here in Jersey a few years back waiting to get tires mounted on my pick up; well it was about 10 above zero out side and this guy pulls an alum. Bud wheel off a MACK and takes a 11R 24.5 out of the warehouse where it's about 70 plus mounts it on the cold rim and it blew off the rim and broke both his arms! He was lucky!!

Years back when things in my life hit bottom and I started to dig, someone gave me a book written by a rabbi called When Bad Things Happen To Good People and it was all about this fellow Job..... It changed my life!Seven hundred plus years BC, Isaiah wrote; " For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, everlasting Gather, Prince of Peace...." Is 9:6
Is 53:9-11 " He was assigned a grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death, though he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth. Yet it was the Lord's will to crush him and cause him to suffer, and though the Lord makes his life an offering for sin, he will see his offspring prolong his days and the will of the Lord will prosper in his hand. After he has suffered, he will see the light of life and be satisfied ; by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many, and he will bear their iniquities.
Just consider why we celebrate his birth. Then consider what your relationship is to him.
I love old Mack trucks and bunch of other classic American Iron. But after I am gone and that old equipment has rusted to a pile of dust, the most important love I have is for my God and my fellow man.
Merry Christmas,
Job41
Merry Christmas and GOD Bless America and all our MACK members and ther families and ther pet's !!! ...Did I cover everybody ??

Obama....... Remember the movie The Thing From Another World?? Staring James Arness as the Thing; well here's how I see it ICIL is The Thing and Obama is the Professor who tried to save and communicate with the monster. And the captain, (Henry) wanted to kill him and in the end he burned every single part of the monster and left nothing but smoke!! I like Cap. Henry's way of doing things! And the way Trump has been talkin lately he's talkin like Henry!! I'm just a simple man so pardon my simple post

Joe, short 4th? Never heard that one, dead 5th any body who ever drove a MACK knows about that but I need to know about the 4thThat will be a nice combo when restored, it is good looking now. I sold a Crackerbox day cab 6V-71 5x2 short fourth. It was about the easiest truck I ever sold. I advertised in Wheels of Time and had over 20 callers. I wish I had 10 more to sell. Joe D.
