  1. my engine brake works intermittently whether the engine is cold or at operating temp., sometimes does not work at all. then all of a sudden it will start working. there is power at the solenoids......??? anyone have any thoughts on this?

    got a v pump? if so back of the pump in the bowl their is a copper contact probably stuffed.

  2. I wasn't saying anything against his truck. I like most all trucks. I guess I need to stop going to shows so I want be so negative about the events that i've been involved in.

  3. do you want a e9 400 to put in this truck instead of that shitty 866? cheap and strong we are selling a heap of spares mate, also wrecking a v8 ultraliner......nothing wrong with it it's just pissing me off takeing up yard space, e9 440, 12 speed, 5.02's double railed 118 tonne rated, its gotta go either complete or parted out...christ i might park it on the side of the road and let the coon's wreck it out....and i aint jokeing......need room for another superliner

    james ya dont want them there, the mack product has fallen too pieces in australia since the volvo takeover these newbreed's are just pieces of shit! we had a newbreed titan for less than 12 month's , cummins, dana diff's, marron push button interior, 54 inch bunk, and i tell you a thing or two they are junk lost a heap of money on it when we sold it, had too pay out the finance company but it is the best move i ever made.......give me a mk 2 superliner anyday!thanks volvo for ruining a brand and a legend in austrailia ......european wanker's!

  6. call me mate............hope you didnt pay over ten grand for it. need's a heap of work on all the major bits internally.make a good project truck, must of put the pin back in the gearstick, apperantly this truck is one of four that had the detroit fitted all the trucks ran with the same company.cant recall who it was now.0419 883 099.

  7. guy's the 610 turbo's are junk.be prepared for fins in your intercoolers!we were getting less than 1500 hrs out of them on light and heavy applications. they are crap switch too holset 4c's as soon as you can! these turbo's were shit over here in australia and they aint gunna be any better in the states, we have been running 4c's on our e9's for years producing huge horsepower and haven't had one fail yet and thats after 17,000hrs so as bubbamobilin said switch em out and get ya pump's done, and get away from the inline pump too they will cost you big buck's eventually . V pump all the way. i got 7 inline pumps rooted in the shed and we use one for a doorstop. the 610 plus the inline pump were the demise of the v8 in a lot of peoples minds......euro inspired junk!

  8. yep they sure were ....one of the biggest mack user's in tas between the 60's to i think earley 80's flinstones, r-models 600 and 700 b-model's you name it they had it.and my pop also had a v8 flinstone so it's got me stuffed, dont think it was a factory v8 though.....i think they put it in about 19 82 or 83........dunno my minds a bit scattered since then...lol....
