  2. e9 is in kal mate, still in one of the superliners were wrecking, as for history we havent got mush mate, it was running fine then dropped the oil cooler about 4 months ago, good oil preassure and good coolant temp.worked the truck for a long while, truck is currently in pieces.......13 grand or nearest offer and some one can have the lot minus berliet rear end but a new pedastool and spring packs are thown into the deal! i aint got enough room in the new yard down south for all my bloody projects plus the bastards we are running so a big cleanout is on the cards

  3. Hi, all is well, got pyro fitted, 910 degrees on dyno, found a restriction in the new fuel line, got that sorted, will get it back on the dyno and see.fuel pressure was in 30s, now its at 41 pound. got full throttle, engine not touched, had 2 heads off only for fixing core plugs. I couldnt even get new pushrods to replace the 2 bent ones so have not pulled engine down at all, I cut E9 pushrods down. next time it goes on dyno if its not up there then I will drop the air cleaners off at the turbo and see what it does.

    Grant

YOU CUT E9 PUSHRODS DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JESUS CHRIST GRANT!......;) i got a 400 em9 here you can have for 5 grand needs a oil cooler.it will be easier to get parts for than that bloody thing ya got in there now......check out ebay too there is a 866 for sale on there for 5 grand as well. cheers bryan

  4. The customer knows better what he or she needs than any Volvo engineer!

There are more than a few customers who need a heavy haulage rig for 100 ton loads with a big sleeper for when they get stuck on a job 50 miles from a motel room in the Dakotahs. And how about Canada where you need the MP10 engine for there 62.5 ton metric weight limits but need something short enough with a comfy sleeper to pull a 20 meter B train in their 25 meter length limits? Mack needs a Pinnacle length BBC Titan for that market. And how about the 80k GVW hauler who just wants a prestigious high hp truck? Heck, he's a paying customer, so Volvo needs to quit sneering at him and let him have a Titan with a big sleeper and lots of chrome. Heck, build him a Titan with an MP8 if he wants one... There were plenty of Superliners built with sixes instead of the mighty Mack V8, and it didn't hurt Mack's bottom line a bit!

lmao................it hurt em in austrailia......i cant understand why in the states they dont option a big bunk we can get 68's here, dont matter tho volvo are doing a good job of killing mack off over here .........junk utter junk, new titans with malvo motors , my 7.3 powerstroke'd f truck can out pull these pieces of shit!

  5. maybe they dont want to show the volvo influenced crap on tv?...........the new titan as you call it is a bucket of shit in aus.........why spend 400 thou on a new truck and malvo wont stand by their warranty?......we stopped buying new mack for this reason they are not built like the used to be......just plastic junk!and heard on another forum the pelliteirs titans are the biggest mistake they have made.......

  6. I'm not really sure of their origin, or even what happened to the truck afterward. I may be imagining things, but I think the SISU planetaries are built in Korea, or maybe vice versa. When I said "hauled away" I meant hauled away to their yard, not to scrap. They may have taken it home and reworked it themselves, it was a fairly new truck. I think it was still under warranty and Kenworth was playing some kind of screwball game with the warranty coverage on the axles.

sisu are not built in korea and are a far supirior diff too them half breed mack/volvo pieces of junk.it seems you american guys get a lot of diferent specs in your mack too us aussies, most fleets in austrailia on heavy haul are switching too western star up too 163 ton,and kenworth up too 250 ton, i dunno what that is in pounds. as the new malvo's are pieces of shit.bad customer service, no back up ,overpriced and inferior parts as i have stated before they aint built a real mack since 90 , what i cant understand is how some operators blow up huge diffs over there when we run heavier (up too 169 ton legal on road) and faster 100 kph on the same diffs .we have normal failures but it seems that as a general rule a lot of american operators blow em too bits easily. and the austrailian conditions are harsher 45 plus celsius where most of this big gear runs.we own two 2004 titans both cat powered (urgh) 18 speed maxitorqe boxes running 200 series mack diffs with a 5.02 ratio and these are not hub reduction or planetary, on neway tri drives grossing 160 ton.....and we have only ever had one diff failure. long live the superliner!

  7. Good luck in the transplant. I have seen some Superliners with the factory Renault hub reduction axles.

it does fit and by the way are you sure its not hedrickson 6 rod?it was a option is aus in clr's me personnally i would stay away from the renault/berliet diffs they are major trouble it cheaper and easier to get a chassi cutoff out off a star than too try and do what you want too.8 grand will get you diffs and all suspension components.

  8. 100 percent mack...............phhht.... volvo motors aint 100% mack. rebadge it any way ya want but it is malvo now. it breaks my heart.heard a whisper in aus that vulva are cosidering rebadging the 2013 line of mack truck as volvos ......any one on here shed any light on this? and it came from a good source.
