  1. I always buy clean fuel from the same place I also have another truck that tanks there a GMC General and there is never a problem with dirt in the fuel. Unless there is dirt stuck in the seams of the fuel tanks that I don't see and when I work on rough roads it shakes loose. I can't understand it, my driver drains the collection glass every night after work sometimes there is allot of dirt and sometimes there is none. We also add fuel conditioner regularily.
  2. I have a 2007 mack granite with a MP7 motor. I bought this truck at a auction in Florida in Febuary this year. I've had problems with sand in the fuel tanks its been blocking up my fuel filters steady. I removed the fuel tanks twice alraedy and pressure steam cleaned them, I also cleaned out all the fuel lines leading from the tank to the fuel filters. I neary have to change the fuel filters every month. This truck is originally from Gerogia I wonder if trucks from the southern states have this problem because of the fine sand or someone played a bad trick on me.My truck also seemed to have lost a bit of power since the first time the fuel filters blocked up. Is it possible for sand to get through the secondary filter and damage an injector?
  3. The engine seems to be running fine and the temperature is good. The traces of grey scum and the oil drops from the vent pipe is what worries me. Is there suppose to be anything noticable coming out of the vent pipe on these motors.
  4. I Just recently bought a 2007 Mack granite with a mp7. I am noticing some oil drops coming out of the vent pipe underneath the motor. I also notice sometimes only when I haul out the dipstick for the engine oil some traces of a grey scum in with the oil. I changed the oil about 3000km ago at a Mack dealer. And my antifeeeze level is not droping. It also seems that my engine oil level has not dropped any at all despite that I have some oil dropping out of the vent pipe and also a small oil leak coming from the front of the oil pan. I wonder If there could be some diesel fuel geting in the engine oil.
  5. I just recently bought a 2007 CTP 713 Mack Granite dump truck. It has on it an ugly exhaust elbow going into the muffler stack. And I'am having trouble getting the correct chrome or stainless exhaust elbow I really need. At the mack dealers when I give them my serial number they can't tell me if the new elbow I'am ordering is just a regular steel elbow or the chrome/stainless elbow that I want to change for. I got a nice looking truck but that s shaped wrap around exhaust elbow ruins the look of it.
