  1. Travis-

Any chance of being ready for Macungie? If you need an extra set of hands at the last minute, give me a call.

    Phildirt

    Will,

Doesn't look good to make Macungie. Hopefully will start to paint by the end of the week so that only gives me a few days to put it all back together. I still have a lot of parts not back yet(polished wheels, new exhaust, etc).

Maybe i can get the B model polished up and take it?

Thanks for the extra set of hands!!!

  2. Sure is a nice looking truck from the photo. I'd be a little hesitant to work it however with the parts availability of the engine without spares readily available.

I can't afford it but do you know what the price was?

    Rob

    $8,000

    1977 rs700l that i found for sale. 375 v8,12spd,44rears,i think it has a 14 ft bed.

  4. Yes and rockers only take about an hour and a half per side to install on that cab.

I have always liked the long hood r model too! This truck is on it second owner and has been here in PA all its life. First owner hauled beer up north then he retired and sold it to a oil field outfit. This truck was a hell of a runner when it had the 375 in it,then the oil people used too much foot, not enough brain and blew it up! Already have a set of new rockers and a set of new doors so we are good to go there. I will have to work on the price and see what happens. Thanks!

  5. I recently came across a 1977 rs700l mack for sale. Originally had a 375 V8(long gone, now a 300)12 spd trans, camelback suspension and budd wheels. The truck is in decent shape but it does need rocker panels and maybe a door.Interior is still in nice shape as is the hood and the original front bumper. If i get it, the E9 setting in the corner of my garage would be cool under the hood! Has anyone put an e9 in a rs700??? Thanks!

  6. What kind of shape was it in other than the blown E9 :( ? Could it be bought and fixed or at

least bought for a good price [it's not worth to much with a blown engine]? Is it even worth getting? Could you get some pictures of it? I would like to see what it looks like now after 25 years of use. By the way nice shot of the Magnum though it could use the stripes :thumb: .Thanks, Josh. :mack1::SMOKIE-LFT:

Have not seen it in 10 years or better.I have no idea where it went to. New paint and stripes are coming SOON!!!

  7. Come on guys I don't bite :D . Somebody else on here must have a 1985 :mack1: MAGNUM.

thunderdog, I see your in Kane, PA. Did you or do have a 1985 :mack1: RW713 Superliner log

truck that was in a 1985 Bulldog Magazine? Just curious. Thanks, Josh. :mack1::SMOKIE-LFT:

No,but i did know the man who owned it very well! He passed away quiet a few years ago. That truck went through some different owners and last i knew it was sitting somewhere with a blown motor and what was left was ready to go to the junkyard!

  8. I've seen all their stuff and it is really nice. The E7-427 powered B model is a really neat truck as is the orange F model. Both fit well in their collection. I'd really like to have a Hendrickson Brad has but too many projects now to tackle another. I'm still working on my uncle to get that one as he was a Chicago steel hauler in the late 60's, early 70's and ran one similar.

Eventually I'd like to have a 79-82 Superliner, (I like round headlamps). I have an "extra" 1693TA Caterpillar engine I'd like to install into something someday. Also have a few V8 Mack engines to do the same with although none are the E9 series.

    Rob

Someday maybe i will stumble across a Magnum Superliner! :thumb:
