  1. Yes I was in a rush when I posted built 1/73 and it would make a sweet project.
  2. I have a late 70's mack fl coe with a factory v8. Long wheel base aluminum frame (no cracks). Its rough but runs. Asking $8000.
  3. Another clue to the puzzle or possible more problems. Cold start it has a hard time getting fuel once it gets fuel it runs good for a couple seconds then starts smoking and banging. Kinda acts like it broke a nozzle and the unit pump just let's fuel flow through. I have no clue how its pressurizing the fuel tank?
  4. 1998 e7 high hrs but good shape. Changed number one injector to fix miss. Found unit pump is weak, found number four unit pump even weaker and miss. Took it for a short drive after replacing injector half way through drive it started blowing gray smoke at all rpms and pressurizing fuel tank with air. Sounds horrible like its way out of time. I'm stumped.
  5. I may be, I'm pretty sure I need a through shaft and a axle shaft. Let me know what you want for them.
  6. Ok just to clarify this is a non-air style locker. Should I be able to turn the drive shaft if one axle is broken?
  7. Maybe I'm not sure how its supposed to work but according to my research the drive shaft should not be able to spin even with a broken axle. The power divider should lock and things should still work. Is that right?
  8. The way it got broken is something I won't soon forget. My sister in law didn't release the parking brake and just kept hammering it until it gave up. It has a 6.34 gear ratio so when it happened it probably didn't take many times dumping the clutch. After the axle broke and my brother figured out that the brake was set but it still would not move under its own power. Once it got home we removed the drive shaft and the broken axle. The pinion shaft can be turned by hand with no action other than slight resistance. I'm assuming that something in the power divider is not happy. Please set me straight.
  9. I have a broken axle shaft in a 76 R with a limited slip power divider. I have gotten part of the axle out but the stub that goes in the ring gear is still in the splines. What is the easiest way to get it out? I think the power divider may have been comprimised also.
