  1. If you have a look on , www.trademe.com it is New Zealands answer to EBay there is a superliner with sleeper cab and a F700 8x4 Holmes wrecker,

:mack1: hello roadusercharges i first could not find the web site but it must be www.trademe.co.nz and i think the auction for the f is over i couldnt find it.the superliner is nice but to expansive to ship it to europe :lol::lol: greetings rene

  2. We're making more progress. It doesn't look like much but we've been working on stuff like wiring, getting the wipers working and plumbing etc.

We've finished painting everything except the box so we can start assembling things now.

We added a layer of padding and installed the carpet on the floor.

    8cr.jpg

We got a new headliner from Watt's Mack and painted it beige. I think they actually refer to this paint as die, it goes on very thin and kind of soaks right in. The visors are out of an early 90's GMC pickup.

    10cr.jpg

We sat the seats and console in place just to figure out where to drill the mounting holes.

We've still got plenty to do but it's starting to come together. Jim

nice job and a great color i just wanne see the finisht pictures so go on greetings rene

  3. My buddy who worked in our body shop drank Grosch in a green bottle with a flip top stopper lid. I thought this was the same Beer you were talking about but after doing some research , they are 2 different beers I think.

    hello mackpro

thats right you have also bottles whit flip top stopper its a green bottle whit a wite flip stop whit the name grolsh on it.but the beer you get in the us is different from taste then ours. they have different regulations.you always get export beer and we always domestic greetings rene MACKFOREVER

  4. There are not many all Mack fleets out there. I know Polman Transfer out of Minnesota is an all Mack fleet and so is Sharkey Transportation out of Quincy, IL. I think Sharkey is in cohorts with Quincy Mack in some way since they seem to have ran Mack for years and the newest Mack they got is like an 02-03 from what I seen in their fleet, hell they still run some older CH's I believe. I wish DM Bowman was still an all Mack fleet, sell outs! Anyway there is a 3rd all Mack fleet, Harrisonburg Motor Express out of Harrisburg, VA I'm not sure if they are still in business or not though Harrisonburg Motor Express and there is a 4th all Mack fleet I forgot about it. They are Burns Motor Freight out of Marlington, WV and I think they have a few Freightliner's in the fleet. I'm sure Other Dog has heard of them and seen their trucks. Burns Motor Freight Mack Pinnacle

:mack1::thumb: does somewhan now if HMX has the superliner still in there fleet looks like a great truck nice paint job nice colors and striping greetings Rene :mack1: forever :thumb:

  6. In the Netherlands do your engines have DPF exhaust filters on the and the SCR systems or do they just have the SCR system? How is the SCR system been working (breakdowns)? How long have you had SCR overthere?

hello mackpro what i have found is that they are experimenting whit def and scr from 2004. we have some trucks running now for 4 years whit scr and def fluid about 200000 miles i never heard any big issues.now the daf company has trucks whit eev engines they are running now for more than a year those engines are 50%cleaner than our euro 5 trucks.you can read this yourself on www.daf.com this site is also in englisch.

EEV stands for Enhanced enviromentally-freindly vehicles (50% fewer soot particles than euro 5 emission values)these trucks have scr and a particular filter.i think when you visit more websites off europeen truckbuilders there is more info for you.i hope i could help you a little i like the old ways better no computers in trucks no speed restrictors no tachograaf.take the toolbox to fix the truck and keep going and less paperwork greetings from the netherlands rene MACK FOREVER

  7. Cab Over sales took a nose dive up here in Canada after the length laws changed also. They had a bit of a resurgence here in Nova Scotia back in the 90's when B-Trains first started appearing due to the length laws but when they changed them to allow the longer conventional tractors to haul them, (we are limited here to 244" Wheelbase) sales dropped back off to practically zero.

USMCJimbo has it right, also. Drivers want to walk back and stand up in there bunks now days, not crawl over the dog house. And a long hood conventional will attract drivers where a COE definitely won't and even a short hood aerodynamic isn't all that welcome. Personally, I like a COE, especially doing tank work.

I think you can still get a special order Kenworth COE but from what I have heard they require something like a 50% down payment up front before they will even submit the order.

hello treedog the kenworth s cab overs are delivert whit europeen DAF cabs and kenworth still make the oilfield trucks whit the new DAF cab i believe it was in 2006 that there was a kenworth cabover whit a daf cab on the mid american trucking show in louisville greetings rene MACK FOREVER

  8. RENE i got my liberty painted it looks great thanks for the help

hello neil send me some pictures i like to se it.my latest project is i found 2 years ago a liberty plate in macungie on the show ground it fell letterly in my hands when i was looking in some folders.what i did is find somewhan that could dublicaat them and now i have left and right on my sleeper liberty plates.that was the finnising touch.i make some pictures and send them to you when i have the time good luck whit your liberty superliner greetings rene

  9. Terra is the company that makes it (TerraCair) I don't have any part numbers at the moment either...

hello guys we have on our company 3 ibc tanks from 1000 liters whit def thats the easy way to do and the cheapest way our chef says we can only tank def at our company and only in emergency at the gas station.iff you run out off def its a offence in europe you have a economic offence and the lawofficers can see that in your computer the price is about 1250 euro for this.so you dont forget to fill the def tank.but the best way for trucking companys is to buy there own def tanks.greetings rene MACK FOREVER

  10. The only good thing about cabovers is the turning radius and maybe the feel of Climbing up into one. I have driven many cabovers and loved the turning radius but not the ride. I have seen several Euro cabovers on movies like The Transporter and was appalled at the Roll of the cab when the truck swerved or took a corner. Europe can keep them. Just my two cents.

P.S. Besides that price is for a Used truck...go back and read it again Used and still nearly a half million dollars someone is full of bull come on.

hello guys thaddeusw has right the only thing thad we have cabovers is our lenght restrictions in the us they messure the trailer and in europe they messure the truck whit trailer.and true the years our roads are made for the smaller trucks also the roads on our industrial estates are smaller than in the us.i drive treu the week in a daf whit 4 point air on the cab synchronist gears and when i drive on bad roads i feel not so match.when i drive these same roads whit my superliner i feel every bump i cant put a small suitecase on the bed or it glides on the floor in the daf i can put everything on the bed and it stays there.its the love for MACK that keeps me having fun to drive my superliner its the other way of trucking.it starts to drive smooth when you pull a trailer and you have some weight on your back.the looks out off my superliner is nicer than out my daf.manny places where i come to load or unload are to small for big rigs.so you build your trucks on what kind off bussines there is.when you visit europe try to drive a europeen truck and tell us your experience greetings from the netherlands rene member off the DUTCHMACKFANCLUB MACK FOREVER

  12. I have seen one in QC, pulling for Granier Construction, a construction company based in the Montréal région. They run almost exclusively Mack (CL, Granite and a few older RB and RD; they have recently acquired one Titan, to replace one of their oldest CL)

This Titan is a very impressing truck I must say. All the trucks are painted red with the Garnier logo on the door...

hey guys show us some pictures thanks greetings rene

  13. hello guys what i hope is that they get rid off the name in hagerstown and make it into THE NORTH AMERICAN TRUCK POWERTRAIN company independet name thats better for the 2 brands.i think its better for everywhan like paccar one company 3 brands and dont fight between your own brands.we spoke a few times whit dennis slagle and i think hey can do something for mack.the only thing he has is a swedish boss so he must convince him greetings rene
