Joes been driving the red RD for quite a while I loaded his truck for years before I switched jobs I believe his truck is #1.
Carl's got so many he just buys half the lisence plates he needs and rotates them around!
-
Christensen still has an old superliner sitting in the yard white with flames painted down the hood I know Joe brown used to drive it but I have not seen it out in quite a while.
Joe drives a RD now

Just wondering if anyone from the factory came on here. Has UPS ordered anymore trucks?
-
Yes that was a Christensen truck.

Indy and Ohio got a bunch of KW 660's both single axle and ones with tag axles in LNG only.
-
Is UPS buying any diesels or only LNG ones now?

Neighbor farmer had four daughters, oldest one worked with him on the farm. He bought a MH600? with a 500 hp v8 so none of us other grain haulers could catch her!

A direct drive top gear would be more fuel efficient and use less power.

Well I finally saw dds92780 randomly on rt 47 the other day. He has not been on the forum in awhile I noticed.
That must be by Jericho Rd.

UPS has bought several thousand Mack's in the last several years.

We got new Pinnacles at work and when you have the lights on there is a buzz in the am radio, very annoying. What is causing this and any cure?
-
The UPS trucks are not over the road trucks. They do city and in and back everyday work.

I wonder what units will be retired? CH's, Sterlings, Visions Cornbinders or a mix.
probably some of our baby cornbinders and our million and a half mile CH's. I wish it was this crappy three year old pinnacle I drive. It spends two months a year at Mack on recall issues. We haven't seen any new trucks come in yet.
-
How many recalls is Mack going to have on the MP8? I drive an '08 Pinnacle at work and it is constantly going back to the dealer. I only got 210,000 on it and now it spent 10 days there with a recall to replace the turbo. And don't get me started on the BS regeneration emissions crap.

I heard a story when I worked at Mack that UPS did not want the bulldog on the hood. Mack said it was a handle so UPS decided to keep it (safety item). If you notice, UPS Mack trucks to not have the letters M-A-C-K on the grille.
[/quoteYou are right. I drive for UPS and our '95 model Macks just have a barn door handle on them but our '96's on up to my '08 Pinnacle have the Bulldog on the hood. Yes none of our brands of trucks have the name on the outside of them. Some company policy about endorsing any company.
High idle
in Modern Mack Truck General Discussion
Posted
Our certified clean idle trucks have a sticker that says they can idle unlimited time at rpm's up to 750. Mack told our mechanics to not increase the idle speed as it is worse for the DPF then standard idle speed.
