  1. Try resizing the picture, you can do this a few ways. One is transfer the immage to microsoft paint. Simply "select all" and shrink the photo size by grabbing the corner square that will come up with the dotted lines, then resave. Thats how i do it.

  2. The only other b model is a work "block truck", thers a lot of macks fire truck wise... Ill list what i can remember

    42 E model, unk MB 600, 69 open cab CF, 69 CF611, open cab c95(hell of a stack) c85, c 85, c85 c95, c85,

Theres a few R model work trucks, cement trucks, a boom truck (twin stick)

I immagine these will not go for much, the reseve is 100 dollars per ton (scrap charge)

  3. There is a truck and car auction taking place in denbo Pa, it includes over 700 vehicles including, fire truck, work and mill trucks, and classic cars. The auction will be broken into four differnt events, two of which are for firetrucks and work trucks, 2 are for the classic car collection. This week (wednesday 15th through saturday) starts the viewin process for the first auction, ive taken pictures of all the fire trucks included in this collection. There are a ton of mack trucks in the total auction process, most of them are work trucks, and some are fire trucks. If you want anymore info on this just Pm me or post or whatever, i will supply pictures and the links to the truck auction and car auction. Thanks

  4. Ok, so i found a B model Quad pumper that will be up for auction soon. now seeing it, the cab area isnt in the greatest of shape, including the chrome nose on it and bumper. now id love to save this truck more than anything, so how much of a pain is it to restore a truck like this? And how much money.

  5. Do they run down with the truck just sitting and not running or do they run down with the truck running?

    DW

Im not exactly sure, all he told me was that when they throw new batteries on it, their both dead within a day. I assume it comes from sitting, but im not 100% sure. I guess all possible scenarios would help.

If they died while its running, it would be a problem within the generator/alternator.

If they die while its sitting, im not sure.

  6. hi, the mack im looking to buy has a "slight" electrical problem, im not really sure what it is though. Its a 1966 B model mack. What happens is whenever a new set of batteries is thrown on the truck, they die within an day. Its been sitting due to this problem and will be up for sale around november, and its my only real chance of getting a truck. Anyone know what kind of problem is causing this? and how much it could be to fix. Thanks alot!

  7. ive seen B models go for a range from around 3,000-10,000. hearing from the condition of the truck, id say 5,000 ish might be good? Pending on how much restoration it needs and if it runs. Find out if it pumps and if the tank will hold water if he wants to pump with it.

  8. I would love to attend that, please post pictures of the macks! Thats a really nice and clean B model you guys have. harvey is a good guy and his newest book is great. Have a good time at your parade!

My god thats a really nice truck, is it a gas motor?

  9. from 1966 to 1990, at least on fire apparatus, if it has a gold bulldog its equipped with the maxidyne motor, which really gives it more horsepower and torque, ideal for hills and such. Thats what i belive i think... the silver bulldog is any of the other optional motors.
