Very nice truck and story, i've seen the truck in a few phases during restoration at Matt's Holiday party, in the early spring and the first time at a show in Bethlehem,CT. I like the fact that you kept the truck original to the company who owned it as far as colors/lettering etc.

I'll be attending..

I was at work waiting to dump a load of debris in stamford and the B model headed past me down the street. It was also followed by an R model tractor owned by the same company. The B model has been modified a little, but sure what motor it has, but it has a quad box with another aux. transmission behind it. The owner told me a baby could crawl faster than the truck in the lowest gear. This is the first year the B model has had a wetline on it, so they're using it locally to deliver mulch/etc, normally it pulls a 48' box trailer.

Nice pictures, i've been meaning to get some pictures of that engine but never got around to it. I have some pictures of Banksvilles fleet on my webshots. I actually work right next door to the banksville fire house, they're one of the only places around that still uses the air horn when a call comes in. Heres a picture of Stamfords Turn of Rivers tanker, actually the picture was taken at Banksville anniversary parade a few years back.

My friend has 8 older Macks he uses for snowplowing, some are B models. Theres photos of some of them in my pictures in gallery. Another one is a B81 tractor used daily to move machines in mid connecticut. High Point Garage in Jersey runs a B model 6 wheeler mono rail wrecker daily i believe, the truck runs all over the US. At a truck show i go to in Hudson, Mass. there are always a bunch of B model dumps there with current mass Commercial Plates

In the third picture posted above by Maxidyne237, the 1993 RW with the high top sleeper in the background was the last one built.
I believe in the photos "fishhook" posted, the third picture from the bottom, of A Deluca's truck, i think might have been the 2nd to last superliner built. That company is from my town.

Heres a picture of my friends ex NYC Sanitation towing a chipper truck.

There is a 460XT or some variation of that motor with like 480 or so hp i believe?? My friend has that motor in his CL tri-axle dump. There was an E9 500hp mechanical mack motor years back.

Heres a Superliner 10 wheeler tanker still in service, i believe it has a 350 with an 8LL. Rumors have it they might put an automatic in the truck as almost no one can drive it.

I'd take a look in truck trader, plenty of good looking trucks for less than $34k. I saw a clean R model tri-axle on the cover of this weeks Auto Hunter magazine. Around here, trucks are getting anywhere from $70-95 an hour, not sure what the rates are up in Mass though.

I went with a few friends yesterday, it was a good show. I was surprised that superline 6 wheeler wasn't there, the one that does the sick burnouts. He was there last year and almost smoked out I-91. I saw trucks from all over New England at the show, a lot of diversity. Your superliner is a real sharp looking truck, what transmission does it have?

someone is pulling a trailer dump on I-95 in the milford bridgeport area with a red B-61 with black fenders.
That truck has a 237 in it cranked up to about a 285 or so with a quadbox, aftermarket a/c, air ride suspension. There's photos of the truck in my photo album. The owner is Doug Gilmore from shelton. Hes in the process of putting together a B model tri-axle dump. He hauls out of a place on Rt 25 a lot, and also hauls for a guy in stratford down off Lordship Blvd.

I'm still not sure what i'm going to do with the truck as of yet. If anyone is interested in the truck, send me an email, i might part with the truck. Its currently located near Bridgeport, Connecticut.

Great find. Looks like X-roadway colors?
Believe it or not this was company colors, it was a small local company and i guess probably the only one with the color scheme. Its different how they don't follow the lines on the nose where they split the colors, i've never really seen others done like that, which is why i'll probably leave the colors as they are when i get it repainted.

Very nice looking shirts, i'll take a few....

Around 3 weeks ago i bought a 1967 Mack R611T 6 wheeler tractor with a 673T, Quadbox, 29k lb rear and a wet system. When i was a kid i used to drive by the companies yard on I-95 and see all the trucks lined up. The company had probably 20 trucks, mainly Macks with probably half of them being B models. The opportunity came to purchase this truck and i jumped at it, one of the reasons being their is no rot on the truck and almost no rust.
So far i've changed the fuel filters and steamcleaned the frame and rearend. This weekend i'm going to be putting maxi/spring brakes on the truck.
Here is a photo of the truck as it sits. I'll update this thread with progress photos.

Just wondering if anyone has expierence with the two, I have been driveing a freinds 2002 heavy haul pete with the c16 600hp, 4:10 rears 18 sp, and dont get me wrong it has tons of power but its just not what i expected , i do realize im comparing to totally different animals because 1 being electronic and one being mech. , but how does the e9 500 stack up a late model c15 , or c16 , i am hunting for a e9 heavy haul superliner just hopeing it goes better than late model electronic cat ?
That Pete wouldn't be HoleShot Haulings truck would it?

The picture on wreckerdriver is my friends truck. It was originally a 10 wheeler Mixer truck (Genovese from Stamford, CT). My friend took out the tandem and put in a 29 or 30k lb rear, and later on put in a pusher axle.
