  1. That would definitely get it away from the air bag
  2. Looks a little blurry zooming in on the bottom of it to see the elbows
  3. Sitting in line at the elevator I’m noticing my temp gauge bounce around pretty erratically. Noticed it reading a little higher going down the road earlier so was worried maybe thermostat but now that I’m watching it it looks like it’s moving too fast for that. Are these gauges mechanical or is there a sender somewhere to look for?
  4. That’s what I wondered. Would a dealer have a parts breakdown of where and what all that is?
  5. Yes I probably will when I do an overhead. By the way, where do you come up with Mack repair manuals? Website I ordered my cat stuff from has nothing for Mack
  6. I guess I’m mostly wanting to know if there are any factor brackets or shields missing to put a 90 on it. It’s awfully close to that air bag like it is also so don’t know if there was another elbow to get it away from that
  7. Negative on that one. Guessing a muffler isn’t cheap. Just wanting to clean the bend up. Plus it sounds good 😎
  8. I have a 94 ch613. Someone has gotten rid of the muffler and the pipe doesn’t sit straight. I’m thinking this long piece of flex pipe isn’t correct. Does anyone have pictures of what it actually needs or a parts breakdown from dealer?
  9. Either one of those work better than the other?
  10. You sure about that? Mine has electronic throttle so I figured anything would be wired through computer to shut off with rpm, throttle, etc.
  11. My 94 e7 has an engine brake, but I’m not sure if it’s Jacob’s, dynatard or something else if there is anything else. How do I tell? I don’t see Jacob’s anywhere on the housing like my Cat has
  12. So was a 400 the highest horsepower option you could get in that year?
  13. Thanks. I tried looking for a book the other day but was striking out
  14. Well I’ve got way more than 28 pints in the rear if that’s the total amount needed for the carrier and axle housing for the rear
  15. Mack dealer did tell me 80-90 in mine. So do I need to drain out and start over? Where do I fill from then?
  16. Sorry im bombarding this place with questions. I’m brand new to Mack. Changing differential oil in my 94. Discovered you have to drain carrier and axle housing separate. Mack dealer wasn’t much help on quantity it holds so just going until running out check plugs. Want to make sure I’m doing it right. On rear axle I filled axle housing through the check plug and it held about 5.5 gallons. Then filling carrier through vent and when it came out side plug it held about 3-4 gallons. That seems like a %^|{ load of oil and don’t think there was quite that much in it when I drained it all. Is that right?
  17. Yep I noticed that too. Just figured that would be an easy change unless it’s electronic
  18. Good info thanks. It does look like different pistons and nozzles at least?
  19. Mine has the electronic governor
  20. Were there any differences in internal components or turbo between the 2 horsepower options or was it just fuel settings? edit: also curious if 400 hp was the most it was offered in for that year/era
  21. Ok yes that blows air to the switch. What is the line coming out of the firewall for then?
  22. Anyone know where air supply comes from for 5th wheel slide? Mine has been unhooked for some reason and I have a cut air line stubbed out of firewall that appears to be the supply. Tracing that line back from the switch valve it first hooks into a valve behind the dash and when I blow backwards through it the supply air gauge goes up. I can’t remember the name for it but that valve it hooks into looks like a valve I’ve changed on top of the axles on my hopper bottom before. Just wanting to see where it is supposed to come from before I go hacking
