    Ok, I was off big time. 1. Remove pump with ab light (Rebuild) 2. Reinstall without cam gear 3. Advance timing off flywheel 4. Then use ab light to time pump, then add cam gear. Thanks for the response brother.

    I have 1995 mack e7 350 mechanical pump. Removing for rebuild and to turn up. I would like to advance the timing while removed. After removal do I retartd the truck 2-3 degrees then install pump with timing light? Thanks for the help guys
