No the starter hasn't been replaced at all ..my driver just called and said he got no dash lights ,still no turn signal or radio no cruise control...but if he turns head lights off the rpm and speedo gauge lights up...the only thing done to that truck in the last 2 weeks is it wouldn't go over 55 and mechanic eliminated the protection mode on it couldn't find what was wrong or just being lazy...

Hey ,I'm having trouble with my 2011 mack ,the turn signals won't work,radio,cb,and the dash lights don't turn on.but if I turn my headlights off the center of my dash lights light up..the control center with the amps,miles etc come on and off..the other day my batteries went dead I replaced them and put new alternator and everything worked fine ,but I'm having this problem...anyone know what can it be...my driver says all fuses are good.thanks

No ,he hardly ever test drives just the computer.....i priced that tube at mack it was 1900.00..i have no issues getting it but i wanted to double check first...thanks for the info..i just got the truck a few weeks ago for my lowboy..the gauges will work the quit it cuts on and off...does that have anything to do with it u think? Wiring or so
  5. Ok im going to try that first...the mechanic wants me to replace the tube with the EGR control .but i wanted to see if it could be something else...thank you
  6. I have a 2006 CHN 613 it won't go over 63 mph at 1600 rpm that's all it will do it has a 18 spped.... I took it to a mechanic he said it's reading Egr- mass flow-open ( flash code 5-9). Before he goes guessing and replacing parts ..i was wondering is anyone has had this code or knows anything about it...
  7. Have a 2011 mack with a MP8. The ac was cooling while u was moving on the highway.but idling it won't cool blows hot..it just went out today doesn't cool at all..the engine fan comes on at 205 degrees but i don't hear it coming on while idle..i wired the high pressure switch straight but u hear it click at the fan but it won't engage .it's a cool logic cooling fan ..wondering if it's the ac or the cooling fan or both..thanks
  8. They wanted 10,700 for a reman transmission and 2,200 for the labor..plus at the other extra...at the dealer..I'm in Florida a place in Georgia that works on transmission only quoted me 15,000 and they would come and get the truck I had to pay for fuel only
  9. I took the truck to the Mack dealer ship..they put a new clutch,flywheel,clutch actuator ,clutch valves,clutch cylinder,solenoid valve,brake switch with wire harness. 7,400.00 dollars .it now runs perfect,it will get up and go no problems at all..
  10. I'm having a guy to do it ..he told me $2,500 for transmission with pedal,and everything needed around 4,000 to ,4,500 ...so I'm thinking I will have around 6,000 with everything..installed ready to go...I average 750 miles a day pulling 88,000 so I need it to last...

I hooked up a loaded trailer today and it ran 55 plus mph..got to 11 th gear wouldn't got into 12 th.with the pedal all the way down the transmission started to slip a little so I'm figuring the transmission by slipping it's not letting get up in speed...Mack quoted me $32,000 for a new MDrive 12 speed,or 11,500 for reman plus 2400 labor..I'm going to pull the transmission out and put a 10 speed manual.getting away from aotomatic..too much money..

The same shop who deleted it programmed it.....this shop deleted the truck a year ago and it did the same thing no power at 50mph but the programmed it a got it right......now a year later doing the same thing but the can't get going ..they tried everything...so I took it to another place and they telling me they don't see anything wrong with the program..so I don't know
  13. The mechanic put the scanner on truck and transmission..there's no codes .he hooked up a empty trailer to the semi and pulled it 80 plus miles .I brought the truck home hooked it up to a loaded trailer and get 50 mph and won't go no more...anyone know what I can do..thanks
  14. I'm getting 34 pounds of boost in 11 th gear at 1400 rpm..but won't go past 50 to 55 mph .....someone told me it could be the torque converter..it's a MDrive transmission 12 speed that's in truck..at this point I don't know

  16. I Have a 2016 Mack with a MDrive. The truck recently wouldnt start..then when it started it wouldn't idle it would shut off..I had the computer taken off I took it and got cleared.and programmed .I test drove it and it won't ride no more then 50 miles loaded..the mechanic said it was the crankcase filter housing ..I spent 900 dollars and replaced it..still doing the se thing doesn't have power to go over 50..it just stays there with the pedal to the floor..I don't know what else to do..it does have the def eliminated I bought truck like that..anyone knows what I should do..bobtail it will run 70 plus but with a trailer falls on it's face ..need help thank you
  17. My MDrive still doing the same slipping in and out on highway cruising..it does it a little more with 90,000 or more..it's still going ..but I'm taking it in to Mack next week..I talked to them of course they said it can be anything..

I know I bought it deleted....the truck had a strap get stuck around the drive shaft on highway and locked the wheels on highway when I bought it..it snatched all the wires and every airline hose from the carriage bearing on back to tail lights ..I replaced everything..but when it was replaced the grade gripper came up on the dash then it disappeared after awhile..the only thing I noticed they did was the put a airline hose from the wet tank to the other tank which I seen other mack's don't have..so both tanks fill up at the same time....also there's a air valve on the side of the first rear axle on driver's side that has the grade gripper valve ..there's a air line hose missing on that valve ..the truck runs and everything works ..but they couldn't figure out what airline hose went there...do you think that could be the problem?

Well since I last posted about my issue with the MDrive slipping in and out of gear .I still can't find anyone here in south Florida who works on them..the Mack dealer will buy the DEF is deleted..it still does the same thing I been having it on the road every day..it sometimes takes long to shift and now when u press the brakes it won't go into neutral it stays in drive unless u press like hell..hope
  20. I hope it ain't much of a issue ..I'm waiting for the truck to get back from the road..and I sure ain't got no warranty ..the driver said it hasn't done it all day ..thanks

  22. I'm going to check it ..I know sometimes it won't go in gear when ur stoped or rev up .I took the negative off the batteries and it was fine but still does it ..and the slipping in and out of gear I definate will check for that module thanks
