  1. ORIGINAL 1971 MACK FIRE TRUCK FOR SALE City of Alexandria Louisiana (Former City Of New Orleans) A super nice 1971 MACK CF 1250 gpm Diesel PUMPER Fire Truck. Can be clean as a whistle and runs like the "Fine Oiled Machine that it is !!." This is the CLASSIC in MACK Fire Trucks. It has MACK's own MAXIDYNE Diesel Engine / motor , Maxitorque Triple Countershaft transmission and MACK's own patented DYNATARD engine Brake . Designed as a Heavy duty workhorse this model is truly, a Champ. The pump is a Waterous 1250 gallon per minuet pump. It has a 500 Gallon water tank. * BONUS - The pump drafts water and pumps it out. Everything on this Engine is Authentic & ORIGINAL to the truck. It is LOADED with Heavy Steel and Shiney Chrome. Most importantly....It has the Legendary ORIGINAL GOLD MACK DOG Front and Center of the Truck. After All, this little dog Icon is historical to the Mack Truck reputation. Tough & dependable. He is also featured on various other parts on the truck Made in ALLENTOWN , PA USA "The Truck Capital of the WORLD " All of the tires are Goodyear Unisteel Radials (G159A). It comes with side aluminum ladders an aluminum attic ladder. Storage galore and steel built in tool box above the engine. Hoses (please see the photos). All of the lights (front, brakes, tail lights ) all work great. The paint is all good but will need a good buffing to get it parade ready. There is some normal wear & tear and slight rust on the truck. Both the driver and passenger windows are intact but they do need replaced, they are cracked, I have new ones to put on. Please see the photos. The siren equipment is by Federal Interceptor and works great, but the wires have been disconnected to the siren and lights. I have just never reconnected them. Trust me though...you will not be disappointed with this truck. It was designed for the long haul. It was in full action service as of 09/05 , recreational since. It's a dream come true for those Original MACK parts : Engine , Transmission , Tires & rims (well worth for that alone.) An Excellent deal for a community Volunteer Fire Department . Would also serve as an idea Disaster Relief , clean-up or Rescue Emergency Vehicle . FARMERS you Know you can use these pumps. Construction sites , pipelines or industrial worker's - you can use this. Open your own business, filling Swimming pools or draining them. Rent it out for Commerical Promotions , Birthdays or PARADES . There are alot of possibilities. * I believe that as mechanically sound as this truck seems....it is ready to hit the road!! Literally. So the buyer should not have any problems with traveling. The motor is strong sounding and runs Great !! The Transmission Shifts out Great !! Everything is in proper working order . This truck will be "SOLD AS IS " This will have to be Local Pick up . All arrangements , will be left up to the buyer. I however, will help in anyway that I can to assist in pickup arrangements.
