Mean Green

I use paint from summit racing it looks good and is not that expensive I think what happened was it was a bit wet outside and not that warm so that was against me and this paint has lots of metallic and I have been having trouble with it striping so I went a bit heavy I should have cut back on the paint and went a little lighter on the coats .I did get it set on the frame and it looks good I have to make new stack brackets to move them out and forward to get the sleeper as close to the cab is possible 

its bad lol I tried hiding it with lite coats it didn't look too bad till it started to dry I might try wet sanding it after it's dry then buffing if anything it's only one door I can just sand it down and get more paint I used the last I had from painting the truck originally

Thanks Matt its going slow but I hope to have it on to put it back in storage for the winter

Brockey it had a pretty fat pack in the rear and they were under the axle witch was strange and the humped frame is odd too next time I'm there ill look again from my understanding the owner just passed away 

In my work travels I came across this frame can find no markings has dayton front and rear leaf springs with added coils in the rear was wondering if anyone knew what this would have been from its kinda short behind the rear axle definitely an odd set up

from what I understand if you have the local police check it over and they provide a written statement that it has been checked through the stolen vehicle data base and everything is good you pay the nada tax value to Vermont and they will issue you a plate and registration you then take that and pa will accept that for  a title

title in pa is tough can you find any documents like old registration and who ever names on it they can apply for a title there should be a tag on passenger door with information  I have heard you can go through the state of Vermont and get a title

If I rember the measurement right Will your sleeper was a bit to long and would have been close to the duals of the truck I hope you can find somone who can use it

My B model started out with single 4in straight pipe that wasant bad then I went to dual 5 in straight pipe no turbo and it was super loud then I turbocharged it and it sound way better but it's a thermodyne so to compare it to your cummins isn't a really good comparison . Keep up the excellent job your truck looks amazing

I can't Matt the doors are the width of the sleeper so I'm just going to adjust the stacks the best I can

Got the floor welded back In came out ok got all the doors sandblasted now all I have to do is finish sanding all the old paint off and I can start with the body work

The truck looks great top side or under side your work looks great !!!!

I'm picky on some things but I know there are others here that there work looks amazing I just like it shiny and straight and everything to work if you look under the cab you can still the men working on the sign I used to make the new removable floor section you can't see it unless your all the way under it lol

Thanks Bob its been mostly paint stripping and sanding . All the nut serts were bad so I had to replace all those and I finally got some new door handles ordered it looks like Navistar interior handles are the same so I ordered 1 set and if they work will order a second set for the upper doors 

cut the floor out last night now I have to get the floor pan cleaned and start fitting in my new c channels on the sides

We used to haul out of a plant and it was a bi product of steel making and it would get on the wheels and frames and was like concrete had to spray them down with limeaway toilet bowl cleaner then pressure wash

The hole is there I just took out the rivets for the trim then used the same holes to install the aluminum plate to cover it .I run dual 5 inch stacks and I would have a big gap between the cab and sleeper I can't move the stacks farther forward cause it's up against the fuel tank allready and the tank is bout touching the fender maby once I have it on and fitted ill change my mind but for now I think I'll just leave them separate 

It is paul I think once I have the floor cut and welded I'm going to paint strip it one more time and pressure wash off the last of the paint I also covered the hole to climb in from the cab I just can't bring my self to cut my cab open
