The Master cyl pictured is a very common type, BUT there are different bore (may be stroke) and very important, with and without RPC (residual pressure check).
If the truck doesn't have a frame mounted hydrovac booster, you need a master with the RPC, if it does have a hydrovac, it may or may not (depending on the booster) need a RPC in the master.
The K-7's tha Jojo and I have are a 1 1/2" bore and do not have a RPC in the outlet. It is MC 2657. the same master with the valve is different, I want to say, MC662 but that is just from memory, so could be wrong. edit: I was wrong MC 661 is the number 1 1/2" bore with Rpc.
You MUST use the correct configuration for your application and can not use "looks" alone to select.
Thanks for the clarity. I bought mine by crossing part numbers from the old casting. (But who knows if it was right before)
Truck does have a hydrovac so hopefully it all works... Got everything stalled but haven't put fluid in the system yet.

Looks like the one i posted an number for also.

Can you post a picture?
I sourced a M661 from Napa for my B20. Its a single circuit master. Its my understanding it was a very common master for most medium duty trucks of that period.

I have been able to source new brake hoses.
Wagner F4050 crossed to a Napa 24458. Appear to have the correct ends and pretty close in length.
A closer inspection of my old hoses revealed the two fronts were about an inch different. The rear matched the shorter of the fronts. The factory parts book lists the fronts as the same so i am guessing one must have been replaced, just not sure which one...

I have been pecking away at getting a B20 stopping again. After going back and forth I have been able to source new hydraulic cylinders and thought it may save someone the effort. I think that a B30 with hydraulic brakes are the same but not 100%
Front Wheel cylinders- Napa 8806 and 8807. Sorry can’t remember which is L vs R
Rear wheel cylinders. Napa 15308.
Master Cylinder -Napa M661
RH rear adjuster kit - Euclid E-4148-Tu. Not sure on the LH side but the thread is backwards. Not exact but very close. The adjustment springs are different but I was able to fab up what I needed from some old anti rattle clips
i have shipped the Bendix hydro vac booster to Apple Hydraulics in NY and am waiting for its return. I have used them in the past with good luck.
Front wheel seals - Napa 27269
Rear wheel seals - 34994
I am still trying to source new brake hoses. It appears that all 3 are the same. If anybody has a lead I would appreciate it. I do have a parts book but the numbers go nowhere.- 2

I am curious to know how the Chrysler V8's were attached to the transmissions in the R400 trucks?
Did they use the Mack Trans with and adaptor or a Chrysler product?
Thanks

I have a late (ET 673) rated at 260 HP. This spring I did some updating and installed a turb as well as a E6 Intake manifold/Water manifold/oil cooler/2 spin on filters in pace of the canister filter.
The motor now has much more oil pressure then it did before. Used to run 55-60psi warmed up going down the road and around 30 at idle. Now its 100+ warmed up and roughly the same 30 at idle.
There appear to be two oil pressure relief valves in the new set up. One at the bottom of the oil filter stock and a second at the top in the filter head. I have pulled both plugs and checked to make sure that the valves move freely, which they do. The springs seem to be same but the upper plug has a longer boss while the lower has a relief in it creating more spring pressure on the upper valve. Did I mix them up when i cleaned everything up?
Which one controls pressure or do they both? Is the top just a bypass for the filters/oil cooler?
Guage port is in the top where the filter head is.
Thank you

Bought a R700 a couple years ago and lost the cable on the way home. From what I remember there are 3 lengths available. A good Mack dealer should be able to get you what you need.
I was in a bind and was able to get a local supply house to make one for me.

I put in my 58 B a 673 that was made in 1980 in was out of a firetruck with an automatic transmission it has a turbo and the tag states it is a 260 hp engine.
Can you load any pictures? I wonder how close to a 237 setup it is?

I have been running around B68 that was previously converted over to a diesel. I always assumed that it was a 673 in some version as it is not turbocharged.
Today I was curious what version of 673 it is and was looking it over and found a tag that seems to identify as a ET673 -260 hp built in 1978 as well as the stamp by the injector pump housing.
What little information I can find seems to indicate that it should be turbocharged?
Anybody familiar with these?
Thanks

Not mine, but thought I would share.
Listing says 5 speed, but seems to be a tag i am not familiar with that indicates its a duplex, but i only can make out one shift lever... unishift?
Seems like a solid/straight truck and with some nice period options... Chrome grill/air cleaner+extension/chrome hood latches/aluminum drivers step tank/factory headliner.
Interesting that it does not have a passenger tank, but rather a step like i have often seen on gas trucks... anybody have thoughts?

Took another look and you are correct, they do show both black and chrome under the B model parts.
Thanks for you help.

MACK Western hood rollers (air ride cab)

That’s a good idea, looks like they could be turned down to work.
I did the opposite and made thinner brackets that mount on the hood. Seems to work ok.
thanks
