  1. Check with fullfuel01. I imported a 2007 cv713 3 years ago with his help. My local dealer was 0 help. Hired a broker and with his help he helped with the necessary paperwork that proves it meets us standards. One glitch i ran into was quebec doesn't issue titles. The registration is the title so banking was difficult. Took me about a month to put the deal together. Hope this helps. Justin
  2. Gotcha. Looking to borrow a manual and make sure im following correct sequence. Thanks!
  3. Just read on the forum proper procedure for adjusting valves a didn't realize some rockers will be very loose on engine brake side. Gonna find a barring tool and start from scratch with valve adjustment and go from there
  4. I also found one loose bolt that look to hold overhead in place. Not broken but very loose.
  5. So rainy morning afforded me time to pull pan. No ceramic pieces to be found. I took both valve covers off and what I though was excessive valve clearance is now at 2 other rocker arms so maybe im not understanding valve clearance. I will look closer at valves and have my mechanic take another look. Few codes I got at last startup were 2_8 2_9 3_6 8_3 8_1. These codes were after valve covers were pulled and engine brakes wires disconnected
  6. Will do. Thanks. My mechanic is well versed with cats and so im just trying to help the project along as best I can and if I need cam and lifters i figure i might as well do the suggested upgrades as well
  7. So I know this has been brought up many times but im trying to understand the ceramic lifters in the mack aset. Truck started ticking and puffing out the air cleaner. Pulled valve cover and one rocker is way out of adjustment and nothing in the overhead looks out of place. I assume I have a broken lifter and would like to know the next plan of attack. I plan to pull oil pan and check for pieces but I am unsure of the actual procedure to replace lifters in this engine. I also realize cam is likely damaged as well. I've combed the forums and have read the upgrades done to these engines and am willing to go that route as well. Manifolds, possibly cam with no extra bump and turbo but just need a direction to go in. Thanks for any info. Justin

  10. Early 70's r model i believe had a double frame and wasn't a converted tractor. Haul 80,000 for 40 years and bones are bound to break. I got info second hand.
  11. Think this old R model might need some frame work.
  12. I am somewhat interested in truck in that neck of the woods and wanted to see if someone would be interested in looking at it for me. Best thing to do is e-mail me and I can give you contact info. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would glad to reimburse someone for their time. Also any advice on a long distance deal like this would help. Pretty long haul from Maine to South carolina Thanks Justin email lorainelmt@yahoo.com
