  1. I will drop the filters and check them out anyhow but wouldn"t the truck lack power from the excessive back pressure if that was the case? And yes I have had no problem resetting the soot ratio.
  2. I can do a soot level reset, have done it before but only lasts for a day or 2 till it climbs back up.
  3. A crystal sublimation is doing the same thing as the regen.
  4. I do see a change in the differential pressure but why not in the soot ratio? there is only a 1% change there. I am trying a crystal sublimation to see if the same situation occurs.
  5. regen has completed and the soot level has not changed, I even exited and re-entered the test to see if value had reset itself, which it did not
  6. this pic is when the regen restarts itself
  7. here is the pic of the regen kicked out, i see in previous pic DRV is still activated, might have posted wrong pic
  8. here is when the regen kicks out at about 10 mins in, DRV closes
  9. in this pic the injector is dosing and dpf is heating up, about 5-10 mins into regen
  10. here is the pic when the injector is activated to heat up the DPF, injector switched back and forth between 0 and 7% duty cycle
  11. here is the second pic during initial warmup in the regen, before the injector activated
  12. Good Morning, I have some pics available of a regen is ran, i will send them one at a time with an explanation of what stage I was at and observations I have made. Here is the first picture, this is when I started bringing the truck up to operating temp without starting the regen
  13. I came to work today to run the regen and snap some pics for you guys but the truck was out on the road. About 3 mo's ago the truck was calling for regens multiple times a day. When I looked at the truck I found that the regens were failing, not able to build up enough a heat. I found the 7th injector was crudded up and spraying poorly, tried cleaning it but that didnt work, so I replaced it. After that the truck had no problem building up heat and that's when the "cycling" problem appeared. So reading the boards here I found posts that mentioned there are 2 different injectors, I double checked my part numbers, and I do have the proper injector. I swapped out the injector with another new one, as we keep a few new ones on hand. Problem still exists. I will be back here at the job on Sunday and check the data and snap some pics. Thanks once again.
  14. I did update with PTT, and what I meant by going off was that it changed states, I get confused by what is considered open and closed with the green dot on PTT
  15. Just out of curiosity and to make sure I'm reading them properly which temp sensor is which?
  16. My fuel pressures at both the 7th injector and engine are fine just about 60lbs, I cant remember if I did the learned data reset but I will give it a shot anyhow, I know I did the 7th injector reset. There are no exhaust leaks either. And I will check the intake as I had 2 MP7's with cracked intakes. Any other suggestions I am open too, all ears. Thanks
  17. You guys have helped me in the past, and i need to call on you again. I have a 2012 GU813 MP8 where my regens will not complete. They seem to cycle. When connected to PTT and running a regen all is good till DPF outlet temp hit 945 degrees, at this point the idle drops, recirc and fuel shutoff activate and 7th injector go inactive. When temps drop to about 850 the regen kicks back in. It will keep doing this and soot level will not drop causing truck to always seek a regen. When regen kicks out temp readings at DPF in is about 840 (sensor 2) and exhaust temp is about 640 (sensor 1). Any help would be greatly appreciated, btw, 7th injector is new OEM and filters were recently cleaned. Thank You
  18. UPDATE - I replaced the EGR and all is well, Turbo speeds, temps and EGR values are where they should be. Regen idle is now stable. Thanks to all who helped.
  19. When you say DP sensor do you mean DPF differential pressure sensor or EGR differential pressure sensor? Thanks
  20. I did clean the venturi tube ports and they good, i have the turbo off, seems like it sticks a little bit, doesn't freewheel as easy as i think it should,I didn't pull the actuator to check the gate. I have other trucks sitting around so i am borrowing some parts and running comparisons. I am still looking at things and will post back with results. Thanks.
  21. Can a stuck wide open egr valve seriously affect turbo speed?
  22. My temps aren't even getting high enough to activate the 7th injector.
  23. Could use a little help with a regen issue. Truck is calling for a parked regen and it fails. The regen starts but after about 5 mins the idle becomes lopey and the exhaust temps only go as high as 360. While viewing the data in PTT i see the turbo only reaches a maximum speed of 22K RPMS and my EGR Diff pressure reads 1.5. With the truck at normal idle the turbo speed is 0 RPM. Besides a faulty turbo is there anything I should look for that cause the the turbo issue, and what can anybody tell me about the EGR Diff Pressure. I dont think that is normal, I did swap the sensor and it made no difference. Could my EGR valve be malfunctioning too. Thanks for any help anyone can give me.
  24. I did forget to add to my post that i did change the lift again a week ago but to no avail the fault still exists.
