  1. I certainly will I know these are problematic. Thanks
  2. I ran a crystal sublimation and this seems to have corrected the issue with the rising number during a regen, it also set the soot back down to zero when it finished, but the truck is now calling for a regen everyday, i will have to a snap test and check into things further. Thanks
  3. I have a question about Premium Tech Tool. What is EATS maximum registered current poisonong level ? I am under the assumption that it is the soot level, am I correct? I always see this level drop during a regen but on this particular truck it actually increases. What would be a possible cause of this? The truck is a 2014 GU813 with an MP7. Thanks for any help.
  4. I ended up replacing the fuel filter head assembly along with all the sealing washers and all is well. Thanks
  5. Thats the bulletin I've been using all along on this diagnosis. Thanks
  6. Where its coming out into the tank looks ok, really nothing. Was trying to get a pic but couldn't get a good one.
  7. Here is a pic of the leak I am referring to, in the pic its on the left. Thanks
  8. Good Morning, I have a MP8 with a hard start after sitting, cranks long but will eventually start, this has been going on for some time. Truck runs fine once running but after sitting overnight or for a few hours its tough to start. I have run the test with the clear tubing from the front of the head to the tank with the return port in the fuel filter housing plugged off. The test instructions say to look for heavy foam or large bubbles. I do not see any large bubbles but do see foam. I have never run this test on another truck so I cant determine if this foam is considered typical or abnormal. I would appreciated any comments from anybody on their thoughts. Also according to the instructions they say that the primer pump is not a source of air in the fuel system. I did notice that the fitting to the right of the primer pump knob is leaking when I pump the handle, any thoughts on that. Thanks for any help.
  9. Our trucks here look for that, it was just an intermittent fault where I didn't notice the light was going off on the dash, I only caught it when the speed came down and I was not able to start it back up, that's when it showed itself. I have had this problem on others, but it was completely dead and threw a code. Thanks for your help.
  10. Replaced the switch and so far no probs. Thanks
  11. Also the switch is not throwing any codes like I have had with others which is also leading me to an air issue.
  12. OK here is what I found, while looking more the speed cut out then would not ramp up at all. That's when I noticed the park brake lamp was not illuminated. I am going to replace the switch first but I think I might have an issue with the park brake valve or an air issue in that circuit. Something just doesn't sound normal when I apply and release the spring brakes. Figured I would give you an update and thanks. Will let you know what it was for sure when I find out.
  13. Thats a possibility I will look into, I think what I might have to do is clear all my BS codes and run the PTO and see if anything triggers. I do have a park brake switch code, but inactive, VECU data link code, inactive too and a coolant level code, also inactive. All these codes though only show 1 count so I didn't look into these yet. Time to play. Thanks
  14. I have a gu813 with a manual trans. The truck is a cesspool pumper. The PTO operates fine, kicks in and out with no problems through the factory PTO switch setup. The idle run speed is ramped up through the cruise control and is run at 1200 RPM. The problem I am having is that at random times the ramp up just stops and engine goes back to idle. It will restart by pressing the accel down. The switch was replaced and that did not solve the problem. The PTO itself does not shut down, just looses the speed. I've timed how long it ramps up before shutting down and there is no specific length, always different. There are no codes that I believe to be related to the issue. Any ideas anyone? Thank You
  15. I have a 2012 MP8 that I am about to change the camshaft on. I have found some posts where members have done these with out the timing tools, but I cant find these posts again. I would appreciated any tips and knowledge on how and what I should do to avoid any mistakes. Thanks
  16. Filters are back and reinstalled, ran a test regen and all is good. Thanks!!!
  17. Part of the problem too is the average repair shop is not going to invest in all the tools that is shown in the guided diagnostics, These tools can be pricey for a small company and you need to try and make your own. At times we cant duplicate the test procedures or even perform some due to this so you have to wing it, which can also lead to a improper diagnosis, doesnt exactly help things. But I have been working with these systems since they first came out, so I learned pretty good, but still am no expert, thats why the collective brain power with this board is of great help.
  18. I just want to thank all for your help once again. Hope to be able to return the favor one day.
  19. I meant looking through the round holes in DOC inlet screen I can see its caked up really good. Only see a couple little spots where I can see the honey comb pattern.
  20. ok so here is what i got, don't have a pic of inlet side of DOC because you wont see anything anyhow, but looking the the screen i can see it is face plugged
  21. OK thats what I will do, and when they are down I will keep you posted. Thanks
