I want to upgrade my 96 CL 713, but problems with newer engines have me worried. How do the MP engines compare with the Macks?

I quit my day job and started a gravel pit 11 years ago. I really enjoy working in my big sand box. I have 2 Cat loaders and a dozer and excavator. Bought my first truck 1 1/2 years ago. I like my Mack CL 713, but would like to upgrade to a heavier Mack. Mine has a light front with 38 rears. I also like to ride 4 wheeler in the sand dunes and mountain trails.
