Well it's long overdue that I continue progress on the Superliner. Just picking her up from the paint shop after a brief hiatus due to the busy season with work. Here she is in her Mack Green glory..

Snowdog, yes I know what you mean. For us it's a matter of pride. When my father and uncle started the business, they started with the blue Mack and the yellow Mack which was also blue and a regular tractor.

A lot of hard work and dedication has gone into maintaining making these trucks what they are today. Our trucks are our flagship. They are a reflection of who we are. As that's my last name on the door.

Here are some pics of the interior as of right now. New vinyl floor mats, new seats, the paint in the cab was hard to match but we got it real close. My dad sprayed it, all new switches, we reused most of the gauges, new shifter boot, bezel, and handle. Getting a new stereo, new speakers, and probably a couple more added since I might drive this one myself when she's done. She's getting all new glass, and tracks as the original were in rough shape. I rebuilt one unit with all new glass, weather stripping, hairs, and i regressed everything.

Here's an update.. Had the wheels blasted and painted and new skins mounted. Not happy with the finish of the wheels, so probably going to buy new ones.

The hydraulic tank came from Riverside Tank out of St. Clair, MI. They did a beautiful job. We stripped her down for paint. Sending her to the paint shop by the end of the week if all goes according to plan.

Here are some pics of the progress.

I cleaned up the back of the truck around the Grecian valve. Got rid of the raggedy toolbox, cut the old half fenders off, replaced the air dryer,

We made new half fenders out of 3/16" diamond plate. We reused the old mounts, because my dad wanted to. Later this we regretted, but they are strong. My 6'1" 290lb ass can walk on them without them flexing.

Next up you will see where I cut 13" of frame off of the back of the truck.

At this point we took a break for fab work and started tackling the driveline, and hun swap to be able to run bud wheels up front. We installed everything new, brakes, shocks, Ball joints, etc...

She'll be running these Alcoas until I find some deep dish polished ones.

If you look at the pic above you notice the new taillight panel my dad made and we attached. We also had to run new wiring since the previous owner had everything about this truck jerry rigged. At this point it had our patience worn thin, and was becoming quite the nightmare. I started on the back. New torque rods, brake canisters, since I was told the drums, shoes, and slack adjusters were new. They were in fact not and will be replaced Monday. I also threw away the exhaust as it's been bent. I ordered new muffler, we have a heat shield in stock, and a new chromed piped for under the cab.

Also I couldn't find the pics but she has all new interior, seats, door panels, floor, switches, valves, and getting new glass.

New square hydraulic tank being made. I got rid of the round tank and the piece of shit brackets holding it.

Hi, I'm Jake.. I love old Mack's. Trucking is in my blood. My great-grandfather drove truck. My grandfather had Mack's, and now my father and uncle have Mack's.. 4 of them to be correct. All superliners. We picked up this 1989 RW753 from a relative who basically let the truck rot in a barn for the last 15yrs. Since tearing into this truck I have learned one thing. I never truly appreciated how out well our trucks were maintained, until I began this. The truck is your basic Michigan special. It has a 3406B, 13spd, 44k lb Mack rear ends, 20k lb front axle, etc..
