there are 24 bmodel mack`s in the netherlands at this moment.

the b81 was a srecial transport tracktor.

it had a cabfire ones and the cad was destoid.

the companie put a scania cab on it who had more room.

when they sold it ,it was fully restored and a originol cab was put back on it.

it can be used as a tracktor to pull a semi.

but the semy was made into a trailer so they made a body for the tracktor just to put some weight on it.

i will see if i can find some photo`s of the truck and if so i will try to post them.

I took a walk through Devinos yard on Wednesday, if any of you guys are looking for AC-AB chain drive's or B61-67 parts,this guys probably got em he has two nice b61 cut-offs, cabs look real good, I also seen some older Mack trans. TRD's laying around Allison auto's Fullers Spicer older Mack motors, he also has that real nice B42 Wrecker and also has a lot of newer stuff.

hello all.

a frend of mine found this photo of my b61 towtruck when it was at the first owner.

it has a big beacon on top of the cab,but now it`s not there anymore.i bought one on ebay and see how it looks.

it`s nice, if you don`t have to go anywhere.

Turn the speed control button off and press the set/decel button, the code should flash out. You can also use the buttons on the instrument cluster. I think the right button has to be held down, the code will be displayed as an SAE message on the center of the dash.

can someone tell me how to get the fould codes on the dashbord or how to read them.

the lichtnig simbole lichts constanly.

can i do something without a computer?

is there an aftermarked computer to read the codes and errese them?

in europe whe don`t have manny visions so whe don`t have manny experience with them.

i`m not from down under but here`s my twocents.

could it be at that time the renault company and vulva made an agreement on the engens they would use in the future trucks of all the brands.

so all the renault and mack engens had to make place for the engens they use now,so the costs of developmant could kept lo.

we have to order the parts from the usa.

in the netherlands there is a guy who sels and repairs all the european macks.

he has his conections in the usa so we order parts from him.

i tink thy orderd a new egr cooler but i`m not sure about the turbo.

on this truck there is a two pice coolant tank and i think you can buy a modifeid one paece steel tank, is det right?

this truck has always coolant problems.

do you know the price of an modified turbo and coolant tank?

the egr cooler is cracked.

thats where the coolant came from.

but the turbo has a crack on the exhaust site.

the radiator is leaking.

so at all it`s a big disaster.

will see how we are gonne fix it.

Hello mackfrends.

We got a 2005 cx613 460 hp in our shop.

After the driver toke a breake and started the enegine it startet to smoke badly. (white smoke)

The driver thougt the turbo was broke so they towed the truck to oure shop last saturday.

The mechanics startet the enegene and when the hit the trhottle,fluid came out of the turbo.

They toke the turbo of and diin`t look anny further.

Today i looked at it and saw it was not oil but cooling fluid that came out of it.

So i removed the egr cooler and that to was full cooling fluid.

Where do i have to look to find the problem of that?

Any help would be apricieted.

yes. i bought the b model.

it`s now in the netherlands wayting to be restorerd.

i wqanted to start at it this summer but i`m working on a trailer right now so i don`t have the time for it.

i found a picture of the B with the collors from the first owner.

when i start to restore it i wil put some pictures here on the site.

i think i wil need some help of you people to find some parts and info for the mack B 61.

There was a B-model for sale on Old Macks.com last year that was real short and had a wrecker body on it. It was an ex-tunnel wrecker. I guess it sold, havent seen it on there in a while. randy
