  1. First of all I want to thank everyone for their input and suggestions.Sure appreciate it. Couple of updates. Oil was drained and found to be clean with no metal detected Starter removed and still would not turn with bar on flywheel. And bar and socket was tried on front of engine. Truck is at a body/repair shop that also changed air lines all hoses and belts. Not truly diesel mechanics. Yes the truck was just idling out of gear and shut down like you had manually shut it down No unusual noise or sound. Would not turn over when attempted to start. Locked. I was not familiar with Hydro lock till it was mentioned in this post. I understand water through the air intake could be one culprit to cause hydroloc. The truck had been parked outside with the air cleaner off due to body work and we have had rain. Now I wonder if this is a possible cause. Any input would be welcomed. Thanks
  2. Update. Tried turning by hand with socket and breaker bar.No movement Drained oil and checked for any metal shavings None found. Removed starter and tried turning with bar. No movement. Any more suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
  3. I appreciate your input. I will check on this with the shop. Thanks
  4. I assume the guys at the shop did but can't say for sure. Just know they tried pulling it after the starting attempt failed and rear tires would not roll. Not sure if clutch was depressed
  5. I own a 1962 B61T with an endt 673. Shop was idling truck checking for air leaks when motor shut down on its own as if you had shut it down. No type of unusual noise noticed. When trying to restart would not crank over and battery terminals became red hot. Further inspection determined that something had locked up everything including the drive train. Tried pulling but rear tires were locked.Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  6. What gauge wire is used to replace wiring on 1962 B61T? I am needing to run new wiring for headlights turn signals tail lights etc.
  7. I am currently restoring a 1962 B61T. Currently the air brake tubing is copper. What is the preferred/required replacement tubing to be used? I will be using the truck for show and recreational use.
  8. Thanks for the response. I appreciate it. It is a 1962 B61T single axle with RAD-1141 CRD-62 rear.I will try to provide pictures
