So who is the big Heavy Haul concern now down under ???

Doolans I think is one of the bigger ones remaining.

McAleese is now Rivet but not sure if they are doing heavy haul. They seem more interested in tippers.

    all good brother.

and my brain don't work when it gets hot neither. anything over 26C and i start to melt.

my perfect temps are between 10 and 15 C. up until it became over 55 i did not even put on a long sleeve shirt until it got below 4 or 5C

If it only reached 10-15 Celsius here in the middle of winter it would be one of the coldest days of the year!

    Interesting article especially this bit.

"There are those who say Mack is today nothing like its forebears, and they’re right. However, Mack today also produces and sells more trucks than any time in its ‘glorious past’."

I wondered about that also. But I guess the same could be said for any truck maker who is still around.

    Market share is another thing.

  4. My brother has inquired about egr deletes and was told that it cracks the head. Which to me is strange because it’s essentially the same engine as an isx.

Two guys have said the same thing, one a Cummins trained guy, and another well respected mechanic.

All heavy trucks here in Australia have been Speed Limited to 100KMh since 1990. tampering with the Speed limiter WILL result in fines of SEVERAL thousand Dollars & loss of Licence  & Truck rego been cancelled.

Wasn’t there a thing where speed limited tricks could do 100, and non speed limited trucks only 90? I’m thinking nsw back in the 90’s.

The road train limit varies state to state. I know WA they can do 100 and pretty sure SA too.

  6. Merry Christmas to each and everyone on here.

Mine is pretty much done and dusted, had a great day spoiling the kids and beautiful roast dinner cooked by my Mum.

    Life is good.

Everybody stay safe and enjoy yourselves.
