yep. all meyer. I think ozinga runs Oshkosh front discharge and KW rear discharge. some are natural gas. apparently that's a big deal now

i have towed a bunch of Conway kw tractors that are set up just like that. the rear axle has a normal housing but no guts or axles. has a flat plate bolted onto the front of the housing and dummy caps on the ends of the axle tubes

I know barge terminal has one, its red and says kayelyns cartage or something on it...but I see juan driving a white loaner cat truck from patten more than I see him in his actual truck

trailer new is about $33k. the R model is beautiful...but priced a little high. pretty sure it wont be exported!

cant figure out how to post the link...but that 89 r model "dale transport" tractor (which pics were posted of) with a 2014 coras dump trailer is on ebay for ... a buy it now of $69000.
if that's worth $69k, its time to sell everything and retire

yes. ozinga bought the redi mix trucks and plants. I think the company that owned meyer kept the quarry business

K-five has several like that, but they are tri-axle units...not sure what that gains them around here

that's a nice setup. what does one of those trailers cost versus a end dump?

they run those on the front discharge mixers around here

sadly it has been replaced by a W900

I heard all new K5 trucks will be white because red paint costs too much. maybe Ozinga thinks the same

truck troopers were out in force today at 59 & 64. 79500# on their scales. only got a warning for a marker light out. that's a good day!

I think those Eno trucks are lettered by Rick Bendi, who was mentioned in another thread about pinstriping

I used to have a Fruehauf with a different air ride cutoff installed under it, sort of like tom's axle, but not nearly as nice. It can be done, just depends how bad you want it. $$$

I would buy the 2004 before I bought a 2010

if you decide not to buy the other trailer, I might be interested in it. After you look at it, let me know

somebody told me lake-cook road is still a 73280# road. we run 80000# (or a little more) so when I go that way I take Dundee over to rt 12. maybe that's why they were out with the portables today
-
yes the kw wrecker is all hand painted, bendi does awesome work.

jive's shop is on 171 in Lockport, but he might come to you if you have a shop. bendi is also top notch. jive did mine (see above). this black kw is all hand lettered and striped by rick bendi. now that I really look at the picture, I don't think the kw was done when I took the picture - I know there is some cool striping on the hood, but it isn't there in this pic

I was going to have it blasted first, but I think the fenders are getting a little thin for that. It's spent a lot of time in the limestone and salt.
