    LOOKING FOR GOOD TAKE OFF 12R-24 FOR DRIVE AXLE. ...Don't have any spares and had a mis-hap with one of the drives. I HATE to buy a new one to throw on the DRIVE ! THANKS !

    I thought it was to limit Torque when backing up...at least that what I was told back in the 80's when I worked on them often...
