  1. Keg1 my R had 5.73 and I swapped to 4.64's. It allows up to 75 mph and still has a lot of grunt on the low end so you can work off road. Think.... lowboy and dump trailer type of work. I also gained 1/2 mpg by doing the swap I'm very happy. This maybe a route for you to go so it will be more highway friendly.

  2. Peterson has "plug and play" whole assemblies for any Mack with the 7" round headlights and 3 pin plug. They are pricey but in my opinion well worth it. I have a set in my 1991 RD690S and love them. I enjoyed them so much I ordered a Truxx Accessories brand set for my 1992 RW613.(4"x6" high/low beams)

  3. Got the truck back with a new clutch and made 3 loads today. It did much better other than the pedal being stiff from lack of use. I have a few bugs yet to work out most are related to trim and interior parts. Hopefully by next month I will have them worked out. Mackey58.... No I didn't put LED gauges in the dash and hopefully next week will have some interior pictures.

  4. No new pictures but, I did talk with the body shop and all the bodywork is done except one patch. This includes fixing dents, fiberglass, sanding and priming. It is going to get the frame blasted and painted next. Then the paint on the cab/hood and install the various parts and it will be ready to work. They are hoping to be done by the end of the month.

  5. I'm looking for information and advice. I'm interested a 1983 with a 6 cylinder and manual transmission. Can you give me common problem areas to look for while inspecting? It doesn't seem to have a top, doors and one tail light. He is asking 3K. What is a price range for a non restored model?
