Worst part of the job ubolts on springs need a torque of 1700lbs each. torque multiplier helps 20' bar works too.

I know it must be getting alittle boring seeing these same pic,but I promise the next ones will have some paint in them.Over the weekend I finished up with the bulk of the sandblasting of the frame, airtanks, fuel tanks and alot of the smaller parts.I have oredered the primer and will be picking out the red hopefully today at the paint store.I think I'm going with the Ford F1 red paint, that whats on my R model, the wheels on this truck I will be using silver to break up all the red color.
More pictures the better. Never bored here. I look forward to each update. Thanks

Little off topic but i know ya'll can help. I have a Galion 118b with a 4-71 that hasn't ran in 7 years. I attempted to start it after all these years. bled the system, started it with rack stuck, removed the injectors loosen the racks, now it runs idles but only using the lever on the governor, but the input via throttle pedal or hand doesn't have an effect on rpms. I knows this sounds crazy me asking but the machine has been vandalized and all the gauges broken so the crazy part i haven't checked the oil pressure yet, I will replace next time I start it. The question does the throttle input require a certain amount of oil pressure to operate rpms? and how scarey is working on a detroit governor? Thanks

Here's some of my latest work done on the cab.It is completely sandblasted. Now I will start to hand sand it and do some minor body work.Only panal I still have to replace is in the area where the floor meets the back side of cab.I will be replacing a strip about 3"x30".After which I will prime and then paint it all.Have to wait for the weather to warm up a little since my shop has no heat.
Do you have to worry about warping with sand blasting the panels, or are they heavy enough gauge to resist warping.?

motorcraft batteries are great. caterpillar batteries last 7-8 years in our equipment. best battery we know .
Have to agree on Caterpillar, I use my heavy equipment rarely and my D7E has been as long as 2 years without stating and fire right up, but after 7 years, i know too buy new ones as its 24 volts and both have to be in great shape to start.

I have a John deere 4720 that was purchased in 04 That still has It's original John deere battery, it isn't used but in the summer and seems to be ready each spring, with no special treatment. I have bought a few batteries from Tractor Supply that lasted only 14 months for another JD I have. I've bought several Optima Batteries and have been very pleased with them, the only problems I have had, are one that was charged for five days, "I didn't know the timer was broken on my charger", ruined, but it was 8 years old. and a red top Optima that was drained many times dead from a bad alternator. I was curious what length of time other's have had ? What battery they recommend? I use to be a Delco fan, till I had several bust or crack around the post spilling acid everywhere. Thanks Kevin

For some time, many of us have wondered just who is Jack Schitt? We find ourselves at a loss when someone says "You don't know Jack Schitt!" Well, thanks to genealogy efforts, you can respond in an intellectual way.
Jack Schitt is the only son of Awe Schitt. Awe Schitt was married to O. Schitt, the fertilizer magnate, and owner of Needeep N. Schitt Inc. They had one son, Jack.In turn, Jack Schitt married Noe Schitt. The couple produced six children: Holie Schitt, Giva Schitt, Fulla Schitt, Bull Schitt and the twins Deep Schitt and Dip Schitt.Against her parents objections, Deep Schitt married Dumb Schitt, a high school dropout. After being married for 15 years, Jack and Noe Schitt divorced. Noe Schitt later married Ted Sherlock, and because her kids were living with them, she wanted to keep her previous name. She was then known as Noe Schitt-Sherlock.Meanwhile, Dip Schitt married Loda Schitt and they produced a son with a rather nervous disposition who was nick-named Chicken Schitt. Two of the other six children, Fulla Schitt and Giva Schitt, were inseparable throughout childhood and subsequently married the Happens brothers in a dual ceremony. The wedding announcement in the newspaper announced the Schitt-Happens nuptials. The Schitt-Happens children were Dawg, Byrd and Horse.Bull Schitt, the prodigal son, left home to tour the world. He recently returned from Italy with his new Italian bride, Pisa Schitt. Now when someone says, "You don't know jack Schitt", you can correct them!Sincerely,Crock O. SchittBut who is "hole in the ground"?

This females been driving manuals since the 60s, didn't have a truck with power steering 'til '92 and automatic 'til '96.
The differents is you had talent and desire to learn. You probably didn't have a union to bail you out instead of being devoted to learn.
-
T309 would probably work, but you might want a transmission with deeper reduction.
Why did they order Macks with auto transmission? For Unions, with female drivers. My dad lost an account because the females at a company couldn't drive dm Macks with six speeds . The company instead had to go back and useing Ford f600s with 460 gas engines with c6 transmissions and also had to buy d5 bulldozers to push these truck up an incline they had. The females complained and the union stepped in. btw the fords were only lasting a year and had to be multiplied times the number of Macks to move the amount of dirt that needed to be moved.

The problem I have is that our founding documents clearly establish the reason for the government to exist....to secure the God-given, unalienable rights of the people....Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. Now each and every person has the right (and the liberty) to PURSUE their own happiness. That is how it is SUPPOSED to be, anyway. If you want to find happiness, you've got to get off your butt and put forth the effort....the pursuit. For some, that pursuit pays off...but there is no guarantee that it will. You do not have the right to BE happy...only to PURSUE happiness. Just because it happens to elude you does not necessarily imply that somebody else infringed upon any of your rights.
Now you take somebody who has achieved success. They made the effort to educate themselves....developed skills....and then used their talents and abilities to produce something of value. When that product or service is sold to somebody who wants or needs it, it essentially converts the fruits of their labor into a monetary value. So what portion of the fruits of your labor is your neighbor entitled to? Involuntary servitude was abolished by the 13th Amendment...so why should I be forced to hand what I worked hard to earn over to somebody else who refuses to put forth ANY effort to improve their own station in life? That infringes upon my liberty to choose what I do with the fruits of my labor, as well as placing a HUGE roadblock ahead of me in my pursuit of happiness. Remember, Government was instituted among men to SECURE the unalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness...NOT to create roadblocks and hinder the rights of the people.
It should not be the place of government to create any "safety nets" in society. The left commonly quotes the Bible to justify their handouts to the lazy and those unwilling to work...however, they are misguided. We should all help our neighbors because we WANT to help them....not because there is a gun to our head FORCING us to help. If they truly believed in helping those less fortunate, they would donate more of their own money to charitable organizations....not raise my taxes to support a government takeover of what SHOULD be handled by those charitable organizations. I fail to see any morality, kindness or generosity when they are giving away other people's money...only greed for the power it brings back to them.
I Agree with your statement, but for the first time. I really feel this nation is in trouble, it's true what you stated this country was built on. but the nation has been sold first of all to China. Nafta has created a generation that has been brought up with children seeing their parents laid off . loosing jobs that generations of family members have always had. and their Teachers that spent the last four or five years with a liberal professor pound in their heads how a life style that isn't natural should be explored and funded with tax payer money, and children are taught this belief for 7 hours everyday, these children have seen their parents forced to live off the goverment, their healthcare provided by the goverment, their education provided by the goverment. This is the only life they know, Most children have no real man in there life they can look up to. when they get thousands of dollars each year billed as, so called earned income credits, for having children outside of marriage. Who do you think their ever going to vote for? someone who might take this free money away?
Just think of how many people that you know that live off the goverment, not including seniors, and how many you know that pay taxes. the ratio is getting worst everyday without shame. I have a very healthy cousin that boast how much free food he and his able body wife get in food stamps. He wasn't raised this way, but this way of thinking is like a cancer on the american soul that is eating our nations foundation away. We idolized ball players that live a moral less life, Draft dodging boxers are made to be thought of as hero's, we listen to movie stars that are in and out of marriages stand up at a election rally's and tell us what's wrong with america. And we say nothing for the fear of being labeled as a hate mongrel, our son's wear their pants down around there butts to dress like prisoners, Have we gone crazy?
The elections are actually being bought with your tax dollars and why would it ever change? Morals are taught to be out dated. Christian beliefs are mocked and taught to be of hate and oppressiveness. Their taught to embrace perversion, and never question anything that is spouted that could posible saves the planet from global warming. look what ethenol has done to our gas engines and gas mileage .
today's TV shows portray a hard working man as a fool and the woman along with her children are always by far smarter and in tune with true life than the father. Remember All in the family? Archie was the only one working supporting the entire family but he was always made out a buffoon and his free loading children hated everything he stood for, but they still ate his food and let him shelter them. The liberal world is the same way they hate everything that built this country, but love its freedom.
I believe the passion we share for mack trucks is the same reason we love what built america, there was a time Mack built a quality truck that was apart of America's greatest accomplishments Hoover Dam, Big dig in Boston, and many more, also the men that drove and bought Mack's were great men, they too believed in hard work and in a quality piece of work and equipment, and we looked up to them and the truck they so often admired. I'll stop but its very sad state we're in. God please save us.
