  1. Hey Guys, I am trying to find windshield wiper refills for my 78 mack r model. It has the old silver metal arms and the mack dealer in Jacksonville says all I can get are the new black type that would be on a new car and that would look terrible. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  2. I have two good mack square fuel tanks with brackets for sale off a 1977 r model if anyone is interested. Also a pto pump, all offers considered. I am in St. Augustine Fl. Thanks, Robert 386-546-5544.
  3. So did the macks not ever come with white steering wheels? Mine has the tan/brown one and was looking for a white one. Thanks
  4. Hey Guys, if any one is interested in a 36" mack sleeper I found one in ocala ,fl yesterday at Woody's salvage. It has a single exhaust cutout on the passenger side with the correct mack opening to the cab. The inside would need a new floor but the upholstry was intact. I would bet you would get it very cheap. The color was white.

  6. all the junkyards that I have called on the east coast said the ones they had over the years they threw away. Thanks
  7. It's a r767st, It has a 400 big cam cummins and a 13 speed fuller. I sent my info to the Mack museum Monday so I can't wait to get the info on it. I bought in NC and drove it to Florida didn't miss a beat the whole way. It has 51,000 on the odometer and the people I bought from swears it is the original miles but i don't know how it could be. It has AT Willaims oil company stamped into the steering wheel. I am going to get rid of the square tanks and get the round ones asap. I am looking all over for the old style air shield like the rubber duck had but keep running into dead ends if anyone has one or knows who might would be very helpful. Thanks.
  8. Thanks, so it is the vin number that is on the plate inside the drivers door?
  9. Hi guys, The Mack museum said that I needed to give them my chassis number to get the original paper work for my 1978 mack. Is it diff than my vin number and where would I find it? I see there is a number stamped into the cab when I open the drivers door. Do you fax the museum the info? Thanks
  10. Hi Richie, Can you measure the grill? I have a 1978 r model that has a chrome grill that I want to put a grill like yours on. Thanks, Robert
  11. Hey guys, was wondering if anyone knows what the air shield is called on the roof of the rubber duck truck? I have been looking all over the internet and cant find them at all if anyone has one for sale. I know the yellow freight trucks in the seventies and eighties had them. Thanks, Robert.
  12. Hi, I just brought home my 78 Mack r model and have never tagged a hobby truck. What kind of tag do you get at the DMV and which insurance carrier and prices should I expect to pay? I own three other working trucks and my company insurance won't cover a bobtail hobby truck. Thanks in advance for the help!
  13. Picking it up next Friday then I will have some pics, Thanks
  14. Hi All, after owning trucks for years I finally got my hands on a nice 78 mack that is perfect for making a rubber duck truck. I am looking for the air foil that mounts to the roof of the cab and of course a 60 inch stand up mack sleeper. The truck I have has square tanks so I will need the round ones and a twin tip air cleaner. Im sure I will have lots of questions, Thanks, Robert
