  1. I will be using an 1.5" crush and run (Dense Pak) the owner i work for is crushing at a development he has going, they use the stuff under roads and parking lots to place binder on. So the material will be free and I need 220 tons, a friend has a 10 wheeler I can borrow to move the material home to stock it till I have my site guy back in to back fill and compact it as he goes, he has a compaction plate that goes on the excavator, so I should be good and dense after he is done water it down for a week and pour the slab.
  2. Been awhile since I posted anything on my barn, I finally got my permit and was able to dig for my foundation, ran into a minor issue my area I want barn is all fill and boulders so I ended up with a cellar hole to get all the fill out and will haul in crush and run to fill it back in after walls are hope.
  3. Friends of mine there Superliners, The Black one Danny Rounds truck works every day.
  4. The company is VC Sandblasing, they are out of south shore. I think they should be able to, they where recommended to me by a friend who had them do boats and his antique pick up there number is 781-353-4400 and the person is Craig. Jack
  5. They charged me just $700 to come out and do it, I sent him pictures of the trailer and he gave me a price, they used glass beed to remove the paint. Did a nice job.
  6. Today we sprayed the trailer with Rust Bullet primer, that stuff is the best primer I have ever used. I got it originally to just go over the rust before I decided to sand blast it. So we just applied it over the bare metal and what ever got missed, covers very well and well worth the cost of $168 a gallon.
  7. GreenGiant thanks for the info, fortunately mine where done prior to my purchase. Well today the sandblasted came and did his thing and stripped the trailer.
  8. Weather has allowed me to work on trailer, prepping trailer for sandblasting next week. Brakes are new, all tires are junk but that's fine I have metric tires and rims found. Work doing some welding on small cracks this week now that it's all clean.
  9. My truck has no problem with the articulation on the camel back, plenty of room for them to go up and down and still be below the 5th wheel. I had to replace mine because who ever drove it before me got the rear portion one to many times getting under the lowbed.
  10. Didn't they build a new station up at South Elementary school on the corner in the little league field. Jack
  11. I have my truck insured through Comerce and have had no issues and they are reasonable.
  12. No barn is the same size room for just the two trucks, will keep the trailer near by. I don't want to put my wife over the edge, she told me this antique truck thing is a disease is keeps getting worse.
  13. Only use will be maybe 8 times a year, cross members are good. Have a friend I am getting new rims from that will be metric.
  14. I have been looking for awhile for a 35 ton low bed, so I found this for an affordable 5,800. It's an 84 needs paint and some minor TLC, brakes new, needs tires and a plus the custom fenders to keep road crap off the B model when I start hauling it.
