  1. I pulled the pan today not sure what I would find it was very clean .I pulled a main and a rod cap bearings where dated 8-98 both looked good a little wear . I bought a military bell housing that will let me use the mounts already in the truck .This bell housing hold the rear seal the original seal retainer on the engine is not used .I looked for piston oilers and this engine has none . I don't know what horse power or torque this engine will have ?

  2. Thank you I looked it up .they do have a few engines listed .I need to look at the ones I have before I buy another . The other engine is a 675 I have not looked at real close I bought It because it it has a sae #2 bell housing and a belt driven power steering pump . all in put is good information for me .

  3. I bought two mack engines one of them I will rebuild and put in my 1967 kaiser Jeep 5 ton military truck . There is a engine on Ebay that is a 673 E it is with out a turbo. the engine I bought has a turbo . Did the 673E come both way or the turbo added ? any information on the 673 E would be helpful .

  4. I do about the same . I asked mechanics about adding another stack and a valve to exhaust to let the exhaust go through the factory stack on the highway and through the plane muffler on the dirt . they thought it may be illegal and not sure if it would even run ?

  5. Hello I found this site when looking for Mack parts for a engine swap on my 1967 Kaiser Jeep M52A2 5 ton tractor . it has a multifuel LDS-465 A1 engine in it now on the way to the ATHS show it cracked a piston I don't want to put money in this engine . The military had Mack engines in some of these trucks so that what will be going back in . I have worked in the oil and gas fields around Farmington NM since the 1970's I have driven lots of Macks . I like the Mack before Volvo the best when they made every thing when getting parts you only had to go one place and Macks always had the best drive lines . My first truck I rebuilt was a 1953 GMC m211 turned in to a tractor . I also rebuilt a 1954 military M269 wrecker lowboy and added ramps . I have a 1943 white 666 I want to rebuild but I have no time I should have started on it a few years a go and I just don't have the time it will have to be sold . lots of good information on this site and I should be on hear daily .
