That truck is going to struggle with 80 000 on most any type of hilly terrain imo. If you run 45 000 gross across Texas, it should be a great spec. As WiserfromBud states, it does strain a bit pulling heavy going up grades, but it gets it done. Makes for great fuel economy on the flats, but you blow it all in on the grades lol. I would rather a taller set of rears, but hey, it is what it is.Very generally speaking, I shift at 1800 and it drops back to about 1200.
