Old Macks Posted 2 hours ago Share Posted 2 hours ago I have a 1975 2 stick direct 12 speed with a broken tail shaft in a truck. I just picked up a newer 1 stick 12 speed. My questions are: 1. can the rear section of the direct 12 be replaced with the rear section of the OD 12 while the direct trans is still in the truck and 2. if so, will that result in a 2 stick OD 12 speed (which would be ideal).
