94 Ch613 W/ 350 Hard To Start

Recommended Posts

I recently purchased a 1994 Mack CH613 with a 350 engine. When I let it sit overnight, it is very hard to crank the next day. Once cranked, it will start right up the rest of the day. I searched the forum for others with a similar problem, and the transfer pump or check valve or a hole in fuel line seemed to be the most popular response. Any other suggestions or can anyone further elaborate on this. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to BMT. You might check the fuel return cross over pipe (U shaped pipe between the cylinder heads) for dried out or cracked rubber grommets.

Thank you. I'll look tomorrow. Would I need to check this first or the transfer pump/check valve? Thanks.
