I recently pruchased a PAI replacement sensor unit for the fuel tank and it works outside the fuel tank when i put it in the tank and release it and power it up its not getting any contact. Any suggestions by mack original or am i just doing something wrong.

Check to make sure it has a good ground connection to the sending unit when in the tank. To test use a ground from another point that you can confirm is a good ground and then touch that to the the edge of the sending unit where the screws go thru the unit

thanks, my mechanic had a problem getting the unit in the tank aftermarketPAI unit so we thought some reason by moving rod and float and forcing it thru opening we were losing contact of sensor on the point of contact. we thought aboutbuying a MACK fuel sensor but i guess we are doing something wrong.
