Joey, I didn’t get a chance to call watts yet. I thought someone might know or have the numbers off hand.

Anyone got a replacement number or where to find one?

Hey guys the rack on my 87 with the AMBAC 300 injector Pump PLM4503C3BR is stuck. Any ideas how to free it or is there a replacement pump for it? I can't seem to find any documentation anywhere on this pump.

Hi All, I have a coupng of questions
#1 My truck has a dynatard engine brake. I've had numerous problems with the Micro switch on the accelerator linkage. In my opinion Mack didn't use a very suitable switch for its application. I straightened this out with a much higher quality switch. Now, having got the switching issue under control I am not at all satisfied with the hold back property of this system. Consequently, my question is this. Seeing how the brake is definately workiing is there some problem that can make it have a reduced effect or is this "As good as it gets" with this type brake. If it is possible to be operating but not well what can I do?
# 2 My 1988 R model is a heavy spec truck. I'm, for the most part, very satisfied with this unit and would like to restore it to A-1 condition. The problem is that it has a double frame that is rusting between the members and making them tweak out of shape. What can be done short of dissassembly?
Thaks in advance for any help you can give Bill
Do you happen to know what switch you used?

Any of you guys have the RW series operators manual or the T2090/T2100 transmission manual in a PDF file? I had them on my pc and can't find them now and it's annoying me that I lost them

A 87 would have different steering box
Yep after seeing the picture that's a totally different box than on mine

I took mine from 6" straights back to factory original 5" with muffler, it looks much better with mufflers and quieter.
I want to do the same thing on mine also and get it back to how it originally looked. Mine looks similar to yours was with the straight pipe now

RealDiehl try this number at the Mack dealer - 6990-HFB640001 that was the seal kit for my 87 and I got it from the local Mack dealer

Lol. Thanks so much for the answers, I apprecaite it. Yeah the stack on there they put was a 7 inch and it just doesn't look right and needless to say its hacked up (pipe clamps missing, etc.) You guys know how it is LOL

Mine's a 350 E6. They put a oversized exhaust on it before i got it and to be honest its not the neatest job they did.

For the Superliner guys out there, would any of you know what size stacks the truck would have come from the factory with?

Would anyone have the part number for the inner wheel bearing seal for 12,000 lbs front axle?
-
Mine are running slow. I was also looking to take the motor off and clean it. I haven't tried yet, but if you remove the top dashboard peice above were the headlight switch is you can see where its coming though the firewall and on mine it looks like there are two snap rings holding the arms on (as HarryS stated)

Thanks for the responses guys, I appreciate it. Can I ask if any of you guys that had to replace the air dryer, what did you use?
-
Its an 87 RW613. The one on there doesn't seem right. Someone ran the lines to it over the the top of the frame. I'll have to post a pic for you guys when I get a chance.

Would any of you guys know the part number for the air dryer on the superliners? Mine currently has a Haldex Pure Air KN33000. Im not sure if that was the correct one for the truck as it was on there when I got it. It has a slight leak in the housing and I'm trying to look into some options for either fixing or replacing it.

Ok perfect, thanks again!

Thanks as always for the info guys! Phil pluggin that up won't bother anyting?
87 Superliner e6-350 Radiator
in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion

Joey, not a problem at all. I did find a shop not to far from me. Getting prices on recoring it or repairing it. Trying to see if its worth trying to fix ourselves since my brother is able to braze. We did mange to get the radiator out of the truck last night. Bushings were shot after 34 years lol, so going to replace them.
just don't want to spend a couple thousand on a new radiator especially since the truck isn't used everyday or as a work truck. Just a project truck.
