Well, we started this frame off deal thinking that the only "later" engine combination that would fit and look good under the hood would be an ENDT673C. So, thats what I built, including of course 17 to 1 compression. Then, the other day I saw PENNYSJEFFS B with the aftercooler, I didn't know it would fit under the hood.but we had too much compression. Anyway, we found an engine component list that included 17 to 1 so I want to continue with what now would be an ENDT676.

We need a tip turbine fan. Does anyone out there have one? You'all have been a lot of help with a lot of my qestions and I have stumbled along fairly well since the beginning of this deal. Maybe one day-------------------------------------------------it'll be done.

I don't know about everyone else thats working on a project but seeing your big project on the wheels, running and ONLY needing lettering is inspiring to me. I think we are still some months away on our "B" but I feel we can see the light at the end of the (seems like a never ending) tunnel.

Hey Rod,

I talked to one of our knowledgeable guys here at PAI and we first of all thought you better not go with that suggestion about putting hucky-puck around the outside of your leak!!! However, you can try to jack the housing up far enough to at least scrape and clean the surfaces thouroughly and then apply a nice bead of sealant without taking the axles out. If it doesn't look like it would move enough then the axles would probably have to come out. Also, it might be an o-ring and to replace that (or a gasket) the diff would have to move about a foot out of the housing.

When Mack runs out of something we get slammed as you can imagine any manufacturer would. However, we have Horton fans in stock. I don't know which one you needed for your application but chances are it was our P/N 1607. Yes they are expensive.

Anyone that is looking for Mack parts should have our phone number in their rolodex next to the OEM dealer number so they can check both suppliers.

Hi, I'm Jim T. from Atlanta,

I work for PAI Industries that some of you may have heard of. PAI is a world wide Mack aftermarket parts manufacturer. I am a department manager in the manufacturing div. My department builds all of our new cylinder heads, water pumps, oil pumps, synchros and more.

A little over a year ago I found a 1964 B61T behind a barn and proposed to the Company to buy the truck and let me do a complete frame off restoration. We then can use the truck at trade shows and dealerships as a marketing tool. It certainly will attract a lot of attention as everyone likes these old trucks. I am not building the truck as a perfect/correct for the year resto. I have built hot rods and fast street/show cars in the years past but this is the first big diesel I have ever done and what a blast it is.

It will be modified slightly with an alternator, ENDT675, etc, etc, etc. In fact I am completely rewiring and replumbing the truck from my imagination, which will not be anything like the original. But it will be very clean with some of the wiring and plumbing hidden from obvious view among a lot of other details.

Any way, I do use this forum for some of my questions and I try to answer some of the other members questions and problems when I think I can help. Thanks Barry and Tom and others.

I will be posting pictures again of my (ever so slow) progress on this project soon.
